Red Dwarf Weekend - 25-26th May

After a recent party at my place, a number of people expressed an interest in having a Red Dwarf Weekend. A marathon watching of every episode of Red Dwarf followed by the "Smeg Ups" and "Smeg Outs" tapes. A grand total of over 29 hours of Red Dwarf!

I have plenty of floor space, some matresses and sleeping bags. I managed to sleep 16 people in a one bedroomed flat... I wonder how many would fit in a two bedroomed house!

I also downloaded the Unaired American Pilot Episode the other day. If I can get it burnt onto CD, should I bring that?

I'll see what I can do, but I've already booked a days holiday for Nos/School Disco/Spike's Birthday, swapped another for Blackpool and booked another off so I can see Doves in May (the band, before anyone gets the wrong idea).

Besides, getting people to cover night shifts always seems to be pretty hard, especially weekend ones. Can't think why...

Dan and i should be able to make this. I'm all excited cos my shifts end this month, so should actually be able to make more stuff (funds permitting) as will have all my weekends off. Such luxury, not to be at work at this evil hour of a sunday morning.

Change of plan! I've managed to get the weekend off, and as it's my niece's birthday party on the Friday it looks like I'll be in Leeds for the week and free to watch Red Dwarf at the weekend!

So count me in!

Glad to hear that you can make it JayJay!

Now the living room is getting painted this weekend so that should be all done and tidy for definate. The hallway or the bathroom are the next on the agenda.

Just a quick reminder to those who have said they are coming:

You are welcome to arrive Friday night, but please let me know so I am direct you. If you don't have my number, email me and I'll forward it to you.

There's also a Sci-Fi Mart/Fair on at the City Hall this weekend which is generally worth a look. Entry is just 75p and I got my season three poster signed by Tony Head, Armin Shimmerman, Robin Sachs and Harry Groener here for just Â£50.

Let me know if you are up for this. Also those who have promised videos, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't forget them!

I'm going to be in Leeds on Friday as it's my niece's birthday. But what would be the best time to be getting over to your place, and what's the best way of getting there? Obviously I'll be catching the train (to Hull?), but where then?

I finish work about 5pm on Fridays and can theoretically be at the station for 5:30ish. Trains go direct Hull to Leeds and run roughly one an hour. Let me know what time you will be arriving and I will try and meet you at the station or direct you to the bus route.

I'll probably be getting the train from Leeds that leaves 7:38 and arrives in Hull 8:37. It's a bit late cos I don't finish work til 6, but I know how to get to Lioness's house, so if anyone wants to travel on that one..

Not sure if I was clear in my last post, but as the Friday is my niece's birthday, I won't be travelling to Hull until Saturday morning. I figure I can probably get to Leeds train station for about 10am, but I could force my lazy ass out of bed before that if needed.

Of course you can come on over Kate. The more the merrier. Just bear in mind it will be a case of finding a free square foot or soo for sleeping on
