I'm far too tired right now to write about all the cool and funny stuff that happened. But I will soon...

But I will say that after this weekend I'm not quite the same person I was...

Friday night was a bit of a non-event for me. After doing a days work and being up since 6am, I wasn't up for much. Went round the houses and said hey to everyone, but that was about it apart from checking out the venue. On a sidenote though, after hearing that it was due to be made into a Jazz bar, imagine the shock I had to see a live thrash band playing there!!! It's been turned into a rock venue, huzzah!! Cue heading to bed rather early.

Saturday came and I was up with the roses. I called Katie after we agreed to meet outside the lobby to go shopping. Seeing as I thought it took at least half an hour to get ready. Needless to say she was still in bed We all (KT, Jim my mate from work, Y, Fil and Mandy) went down the road and had a mooch in the shops to get raffle prizes. And prizes they were! lol. I did also get my lip pierced (Much to the enjoyment of some more on that in a bit) Got back to the hotel and chilled for a bit. Nicking KTs hat in the process that didn't leave my head for the rest of the day lol.

Went and got the equipment that I blagged from the office all setup and things were good to go. I wondered if there was a freak accident when nobody showed for a while lol. Kicked off things musicwise, and I've gotta thank everyone that complimented me on the playlist. I deliberated for weeks over that thing. Was also good to hear people asking the names of the lesser known bands (How peeps knew of Panic! At The Disco, I dunno). Other than that I spent a lot of time tweaking and tinkering with the music (Mental note: Never put Guns n' Roses on in the middle of the cheese lol). Came to the end of the night and there was a small issue that someone had parked their car right where we needed to lug the equipment through, so the solution to that was heave one box (weighing over 90 kilos) up some stairs and the bass bin through the back of the pub.

About half an hour before finishing up, I got asked about coming to The Academy seeing as it was their rock night there. Initially I was a little scared to go as I didn't wanna leave my mate from work alone. He told me to get my ass out there though lol. Headed to the club (Is that walk long enough!?) and got the groove on (In a couple of ways it would appear! ). I swear I've never danced, thrashed, jumped, sang or screamed that hard in my life. My shirt was sweating by the end of it though (as was KTs hat lol). Must say though, dirty dancing to Slipknot was a new experience, as was getting busted by a girls mum

That finished up around 3am, then we all headed back to the hotel where the party queen KT was holding a room party that went from 3 peeps to about 15 in pretty short time. I was wrecked after being up since 8ish, so I bailed. Kinda. It went more Bailed, stood, texted, walked, stood, texted (Repeat numerous times until I get to bed).

Sunday was as relaxed as ever. Being one of the rare stone cold sober ones, there was no problem getting up at 9ish. Saying that though, I'm suffering today. Said the goodbyes and pegged it back home. Where the first stop was the office

KT - My sidekick, my stress bunny, my soundboard. you can be my second in command anytime. Just keep your room a bit tidier so you can find stuff
Kaila - The Academy rules! So much so, it wees all over the Mean Fiddler. I'm almost certain I'll be back. Oh, and nice PJs! lol

And to everyone who came, it wouldn't have happened without you all. I'm sure I'll remember more.

Oh, I forgot to say, if anyone wants to know the playlist seeing as there was interest, lemme know and I'll post it somewhere or mail it to you.

Well it was absolutely fab to see people again. I've been fairly lucky in being able to see a few people once or twice in the last few months but so many people that I'd not seen for at least a year.

Hope to see everyone again soon though and not leave it so long as last time.

Well it only sees fitting that the "sidekick" does a round up too

After getting to the hotel pretty early on the friday, me and Mandy went to join JJ, Morph, Fil, Daryl and Taz in the local Walkabout pub. Jaine joined us and we had some grub then headed back to the hotel to unpack and relax abit.

Me, Jim and G went over to the venue, where G pulled the male singer from the bad local band that were playing. Then we got utterly soaked walking back.

I joined everyone in JJ's room for the first of the room parties. The night included pinkflippy car, picking on jaine, alex throwing vodka at me and Yvonne checking that alex's collar and cuffs matched.

I dunno what time me and Jaine went to bed but i know we stayed up talking for hours, about getting married to Ben Fogle and David Tennant lol.

George rang me at 8:15! I had set my alarm for 8:30 as we were meeting at 9:15 to go shopping. And i was ontime for once

So off went me, G, Mandy, Jim, Yvonne and Fil, we got into the time and then completely forgot where FP was lol. Found it in the end and ended up completely over spending

When i got back to the hotel Jaine had managed to wake up and get dressed. We headed to Alex and Markys room where i dyed the ginger ones hair black! And made a mess, hehe.

Then me and Jaine left to have showers and get ready. Ha! We were set apon by boys and ended up watching Ice Age with Michael, Marky and alex It was great

I was almost on time to leave for the venue to set up when i couldnt find the raffle tickets! I had one set but id bought 3. So of course i paniced

When me and Jaine did get to the venue we set up all the prizes and i asked the barman for an ice bucket to put the raffle tickets in...he asked if i still wanted ice in it! Lol.

The party was brilliant, i really enjoyed myself and i hope everyone else did too. We went alittle over the 30 people we needed to to pay off the venue so we were chuffed

It was fantastic seeing people ive not seen in a long time...or since the last party, such as Morph and Sam and even more of a shock, Ciri!

After the party me and Jaine had a Quizmania party, which rocked! Most people were in the room at one point or another. And by the way, for those that complained that the room smelled, it wasnt our fault that everyone brought food into the room then left the remains! and if you didnt like it you could have left.

The last to leave were JJ and Alex at around 5:30 after we'd put the world and its people to rights.

It was sad having to leave everyone but me, alex and Mandy had a bloody laugh in the car on the way home.

So anyone, ive rambled enough. I love most of you and i really hope that George and I provided a good night for you. Thanks to anyone who helped out.

i tried posting some thoughts on this from the coach station in brum while waiting for the 4.30AM bus back to the mancunian republic, but the smegging thing timed out, and i lost it all...
but much fun was had by everyone in the madblokes head (too complex a concept to go into right now - lets just say that mad & stuart NEVER enjoy the same parties...), despite all the panicking and agonising over wether or not to actually turn up (even after id paid out good money on my bus ticket i was still debating wether or not to turn up...)
but was good to actually be able to meet up with some people i havent seen in FAR to long, and meet some people ive been wanting to meet for ages - even though ive actually met one of them before (cos im crap at names & faces).
then there was the old thinking-someone-on-LJ-was-someone-else thing, which wasnt QUITE as bad as the whole "but youre supposed to be a boy!!" thing that me and Y got totally wrong at a gig a few years back...
i still havent got a clue who most of the people there were - but at least now ill be able to put a few names to faces ive seen on photos - and i suppose now ive been to one event, ill be expected to turn up to more...
and can i just say that i STILL find it worrying how many people know me when i havent got a clue who they are!!
