I *love* tattoos - I only have one on my hip but yes I have the bug and when I get a chance I will have another one done. Len has a couple and wants more but no where that's "in yer face"
Tattoo's do you have them, do you hate them or do you just not care
I personally have a few tat's as we with the mark call them, and yes I can hear the non approvers screaming why brand yourself like cattle, well all I can say is once you have had one you keep going back for more, what does everybody else think ?????

I've got 2 (One was a coverup) I'm intending on getting another around my forearm in the close(ish) future of a flame design of sorts.
I was proud when I got my Angel though

I have one. A really nice Celtic dragon design which Mamf gave me and I had done back in September on my left shoulder.
But I do want to want to get another one on my right shoulder and maybe a little bigger.
But it's true what they say. They *are* addictive

I kinda want to get one, but not big on the needles thing (silly really when I have an injection every couple of months).
Plus I haven't found a design that I would want for the rest of my life. If I did then I guess I'd just go for it depite the needle and pain. Where's the least painful place to get one by the way?

I have two, one on my ankle and one on my arm. I was 16 when I had them done and regret it big time. I don't mind blokes with tattoos, but bare flesh is more appealing. Anyone thinking about having a tattoo should think long and hard because they cost a fortune to get rid of.
I'm not big on tats. small ones are OK but i dont like big ones.
And i'd never have one done 'cos at some point i know i'd regret it and then there's nowt i can do about it.
I do sometimes wear the fake ones tho.

Have one (needs touchup job)
Definitely getting another one, on my back, size will depend on one or two things (including money )
Had ideas for one or two others but they're either fleeting or just vague daydreams that wouldn't be such a good idea in a few years.
The one I do have I can find about 3-4 different meanings for it...the one I want about 10-12. So I'm perfectly happy to have it done because I know exactly what it represents and what it means to me

As I said before, like plain skin better. However, there is a tattoo shop in town with a sign that cracks me up:
"Tattoos done while you wait."
"Tattoos done while you wait."
i like tattoos..
i'm planning on getting a couple... i don't want anything with colour though - just block black tribal style tattoos - i gon't want to have to worry about whether my tattoos clash with my clothes or hair colour of choice for the month. lol.
since i just turned 18 last month, i'm already planning my first tattoo.
i want something pretty on the base of my spine. i've chosen the base of my spine for my first tattoo because i know it's gonna be painful. i really really want the base of my spine tattooed, but if i have a tattoo done somewhere else first and it really hurts... i'm gonna know that having the base of my spine tattooed is gonna hurt more and i'll end up never having it done.
so i'm having the most painful one done first and then i can get the others done with the ressurance that "at least it probably won't be as painful as the first one..."
i have a pretty high pain threshold though. doesn't bother me too much. i'm just lucky that way.
but tats on guys are cool! my ex boyfriend is having a tribal design tattooed on both of his forearms - he's a drummer, so it's pretty much expected of him to decorate his forearms, lol... he's gonna look goooood..... lol.
well... he will until he's 60 and the skin on his arms sags and the tattoo is all crinkley... lol.

I had my 1st tat when I was 17 (black vamp bat) and then managed to hold out till I was 24 for my 2nd (pegasus). That was nearly 4 yrs ago and now the craving is back. I really wanna get one on my lower back and have seen a couple that I like but nothing that screams out at me, so I'm gonna get my mate to design one for me.
I love tattoos on men especially the tribal/celtic ones.

Chinese Symbols used to be all cool, but then they got so common, so gave that idea a miss. But a small rose in a select area will do me nicely.
(And guys ... we still need to sort this tat trip out!)

I just got my first tat a few weeks ago. It took me years to get up the nerve to get it done (I'm *really* not into pain. Well, not my own anyway ) And now I know it doesn't hurt at all (really! my guy asked if it hurt & I gave him a look like he'd asked me if I'd just turned into a man...), I've already got my next two planned.
It may sound a bit like I AM addicted (well...maybe...) but I've had the other two in my mind for a few years, so I'm just gonna get them, then quit while I'm ahead.
I have no desire to end up in the Guinness Book of Records or as a side-show at a carnival.

by misskittyfantasticWhere's the least painful place to get one by the way?
I've got one that I've had since I was about 23/24, and had wanted to get a tat since I was 17/18 - it took me that long to find one I really liked, and was more likely to want to keep as I got older. I do want more, but again I have to be 150% certain that I'll still like them when I'm an old git. Oh and celtic designs do it for me.
As far as I'm aware, the more fleshy and the fewer nerve endings the area is the less painful it is. Which is why the small of your back is the most painful place to get done. I'd guess that your bum is probably the least painful site, although the top of your arm is meant to be pretty low down the pain list (it was still agony when I got mind done, though).
