I used to always watch the London Marathon, havent in some time though. Never run it or intend to I'm just too unfit, I totaly admire people that do though wether it's for charity or for themselves it's a big achievment.
London Marathon
For those of you who didn't know, it was the London Marathon, and I was listening to it on the radio, and it got me thinking.
People as young as me (13) were taking part, in a 26 mile run/walk. Elite athletes were sick along the way, but normal people kept going along for their charity, which I though was very noble. Did anyone take part this year, or has taken part? And would you ever want to do it? What charity would you do it for?
I'd probably be at the back dressed as a clown or somthing

A pair of knackered knees are my major obstacle.
My brother on the other hand is a different kind of animal and has done two London Marathons ('97 & '99, if I recall correctly), on each occasion running in aid of a charity called Dial-a-Dream.

It's fantastic that Paula Radcliffe could run the second fastest marathon ever in her first ever race.
So were any of the people who were at Nos take part then?

It was my evil twin that was lying asleep in bed.
I wouldn't mind walking the London Marathon but I would never run it - that way leads to black eyes
I haven't ever done a marathon but I did do a 5 mile walk when I was at school. It was fun as we were all in costumes & were having fun along the way so we didn't notice the distance.
Not sure what charity it would be for though as there are so many around that I would want to help...

Second with the black eyes VG . I honestly don't think i could do it, to be truthful, though i'd have a go to walk it.. walking i can do, running, very probably not... and my chosen charity would be the Tiny Lives Preemie Baby Fund who helped save Hannah's life... or a local autistic charity
I'm going to do the race for life - originally I was going to try to up my gym attendance and run it but that's not going to happen now!!! Fortunately you're allowed to walk...
Race for life is for women only. Its done all over the country and it's in aid of cancer research. If anyone's interested, here's the website:

My sister's friend took part and my cousin's boyf - but we can't find anywhere with the full results. The official site only has the top 10 in
Does anyone know of a website that has the full listings?

They wouldn't have had time to get the results for 10's of thousands of people up yet I would think.

One of the newspapers (the Times?) usually has all the results.
