Yay!! Hannah

Well Georgia had her first birthday a couple of weeks ago and its frightening how much of a little madam she's becoming! <----EEK

She throws terrible tantrums if she doesn't get her own way - I thought I had another year before they started? But on the whole she's still a very happy baby.

She's cruising around the furniture at top speed but still hasn't got her balance on her own two feet - but we're getting there. She has 12 teeth cut through and another one on its way She's learning to feed herself - she loves, anything on toast (which is easy) tuna mayo sandwiches and lots of puddings Chocolate goes everywhere - she got in such a mess the other day it was hard to believe she was under it all.

She understands No and tries to say it. If you ask her what a doggie does she says "woof", Can say Dada, Mum Mum, Baba (for my Mum), Nana (for Lens Mum) Bruce (for Len's Dog), she'll shake your hand if you say "How do you do?" and her new one that she learnt yesterday is "Shhhh" when putting your finger to your lips She'll nod and shake her head and loves the Tweenie - so much so I took her to see them on tour for her birthday treat - her face was a picture!

We go swimming lessons twice a week - she's a real water babe and loves it. Sleeping through the night from about 7.30pm to 6.30am but naps in the day are few and far between.

She is very much a people person and loves having company. Especially if they're boys!! And yes, she can say that too (I can see we have a serious flirt on our hands - Ben had better watch out Vix!)

I just can't believe how quickly the past year has gone. Her development is amazing!! They really are a wonder

Ben's birthday is in 10 days time, which scares the proverbial out of me to think how fast the year has gone...

He's generally doing well, although having started at nursery he's picking up every infection going - latest crisis was the last few days fearing he had gastro-entiritis - the doctor was going to admit him this morning if he hadn't picked up (but luckily he has affected a miraculous recovery and eaten everything in sight today). He has 5 definite teeth and the sixth just poking through, and is cruising the furniture no problem. He's attempted standing on his own but sways alarmingly before grabbing something and giggling

What else... eats like a demon, feeds himself quite happily and has developed a taste for Sunday roasts, salad, mashed potatoes and apples (but not at the same time haha). He's starting to say a few things, like "mama NO", "shoe" when I'm putting them on him, and "more" (specially where food is concerned). He's really interested in other kids, especially the laydees, so I think Jola we should book them in for relationship counselling already Like the others, he understands a lot more than he can say, which is a bit worrying... we're thinking about starting to spell things out in front of him to save him blurting out "bloody Granny" one day lolol

He waves at everyone now, and loves the Teletubbies... he's still tormenting the poor cat, he discovered earth in the garden the other day and is determined to catch one of the frogs in the pond... my little angel

Ickle James is now 16 months , and into everything he is so good though its untrue. He loves to go into the nursery with Adam in the mornings and would saty there if he could. I've just bought him his second pair of trainers size 5 1/2 already he is going to be a big boy
He doesnt say many words he is very quiet alhtough he does say sweety's
He loves to dance and will dance to anything and everything and boy does he have rythum. I managed to catch him bopping on avi and I think ill treasure that for always
The only thing I can say that worrys me is that he is really fussy about what he eats, although he will eat even if its chips

And he sends big smoochy kisses to the gals and a manly handshake to Ben

It's lovely to hear of how well all the other babies are doing, and to look forward to the peace and calm of life with a mobile child....

Emily is now nearly 7 months. She can sit up on her own now - yay! She loves playing with anything she can get her hands on but has the attention span of a small butterfly, as a consequence of which I'm spending all my time putting new toys close at hand. She's a happy, smiley little thing but seems to be getting frustrated at the non-moving situation, especially when we go to toddler groups and she sees all the other kids running aroung and playing.

And she's suddenly refusing to take a spoon - as a result of which I'm having to finger feed her everything, although she's still pretty limited as to what she can chew (no teeth yet!) She's hardly put any weight on this last month and I'm starting to get worried...

Never ever get worried about Emily not putting on weight. Georgia was steaming ahead and then levelled off - you'll find they do this as they become more active. If she's eating and drinking, she's fine.
