Heights, Wasps, Needles, BIG spiders, lifts getting stuck......
I'm a big wuss really
Cat "Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this." ~Anon
I was petrified of spiders but i concured that one (still dont like em but i will kill 'em. Since there are no men in my house it's either use up all my books and have them as floor decorations after using them to squash pidies, or be brave and get the buggers by hand)
Also scared of crowds but i can live with it for small amounts of time. I think it comes from being small and lost in a crowd once.
I'm not keen on large open spaces but i wouldnt call it a phobia.
My final phobia is heights which i have no intention of concuring since it seems a very sensible fear to have.
So no, nothing too unusual there.
lizzieslayer Look for the girl with the broken smile.
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
Lizards or geckos. Can't stand them, one was in my house the other day, I was so pathetic I nearly cried. I seriously get freaked out by them, by their scales and the way they move!
I hate going up or down stairs in the dark, there has to be a light on somewhere.
Getting wet tea leaves on my hands... I detest this, and am usually *literally* petrified until someone comes and rinses them off.
Slugs... *ewwww*.... I used to live in a flat with a cellar and they used to get up through the floorboards... going to the loo in the middle of the night, bet your life I'd tread on the bloody things... live slug oozing through your toes is enough to give anyone a phobia
Whistler"I wonder wonder why the wonder falls. I wonder why the wonder falls on me. I wonder wonder why the wonder falls, with everything I touch and hear and see."
Ooh, I forgot about the heights thing! Another one of my phobias!!
RedWitch It's the so-called 'normal' guys that always let you down. Sickos never scare me. At least they're committed.
The only thing that gives me terrors is fire, though I can sit and watch a controlled bonfire or proper fireplace fire all night and I have a multitude of candles around me most of the time, the idea of being caught in a burning building gives me the complete heebie geebies. Which I guess is kinda understandable.
Also, those of you that said heights, it ain't the height that's the problem, it's the hitting the floor at the bottom! Which is another thing of mine, I hate walking down steep slopes, but I have abseiled backwards of a cliff and a disused viaduct. I don't know if I was brave, stupid or it was just easier 'cause I couldn't see where I was going!
just the usual for me, spiders, bees, wasps *shudder* and being buried alive.
Sange It's only kinky the first time!!! after that it's just the Norm ;o)
Mine is Spiders, I hate then totaly...Since being without Gary I've had the pleasure of having to deal with the ickle beasties all by myself, On occassion I have been tempted to move home due to spending so long trying to pluck up the courage to get one and its managed to run away.
But there is a creature far far worse and thats ....
Daddy longlegs or the cranefly ewwwwwwwwww these are spiders with wings as far as Im concerend they have all the things spiders do but they have the extra advantage, they can dive bomb you
/me wonders off in a cold sweat just thinking about them
I'm a bit iffy with heights. Really big heights, like huuuge cliffs and stuff. But what I'm really scared of, is not being able to move. Even if I can't move all my toes, I start to panic and sweat and I have to take my shoes off. Could never wear a straight jacket......
PictureOfFlowers "When things are at their darkest, it's a brave man that can kick back and party." - Lt. Tuck Pendleton, Innerspace
Well I'm scared of heights, and I'm not overly keen on confined spaces. I also hate injections to the point where I almost faint! I don't think any of these are actual phobias though, just 'healthy fears'!
Linz ‘this is a song about somebody that i really used to like a whole lot, and i don’t know if i like anymore. it’s not about me.’ -ryan adams
Death. Anything else I'm just afraid of becuase it could kill me.
Buffys Alter Ego Glory (to Dawn): I've been meaning to send the Slayer a message. And I could use a little pick-me-up. Two birds, one stone, and boom! You have yummy dead birds.
I'm scared of spiders too but I can kill 'em. I also don't like small spaces, heights and the dark
Yvonne I was nothing more than an almost innocent bystander.
I'm scared of the usual girlie things such as spiders and Daddy LongLegs - but I'm also terrified of polystyrene.
Those little "S" shaped things they use in packing freak me out completely. I don't like the noises they make or the look of them and sometimes they almost seem to move independently
I worked in a video store for a few years and the staff always found it funny when we had a delivery with these things in (which happened everyday) 'cos I'd refuse to touch them or go with a foot of the stock until I was sure all of the "S"s had gone. They'd chase me round the store rubbing two bits together so that they'd squeak
Mastermind It is better to walk in the darkness with a friend than in the light alone.
I don't think I've got any real phobias.
My friend refuses to walk on carpet without shoes or slippers on though. She says that it freaks her out.
head2head 'Rene Descartes was a drunken fart, I drink, therefore I am. '
I'm not scared of anything too out of the ordinary. I don't like heights, or lifts getting stuck, I think thats all really !
This isn't really a phobia, but I remember when I was little I was petrified that my parents were going to go out one day and never come back. Either that or they were going to leave me on my own somewhere. I think it all goes back to watching 'Empire of the Sun'...that film TOTALLY freaked me out when I was young !
Miss Edith People don't fall in love with what's right in front of them. People want the dream -- what they can't have. The more unattainable, the more attractive.

Spiders! I hate them!!and enclosed spaces. I don't like lifts much either though I would'nt call it a phobia.
