Now I've regained some composure, I'm ready to post.

I'd like to thank everyone for their thoughts and kind words, they meant a lot to me when I was over there with my Grandma.

I'm still pretty devastated at the moment, but I'm glad her pain and suffering are over finally (I just wish she had gone on the Wednesday night, so she didn't suffer any longer, if you know what I mean).

I'm trying to think of the happy times, but I keep picturing the tears she had in her eyes last night - I think she knew.

I'm kind of in limbo now, along with my dad and the family, but people's support will see me through.

On a light note, which gave us a little chuckle this afternoon, Grandma told one of my uncles that she wanted her ashes scattering off Blackpool Central Pier she loved that place, so all the family will be going on a jolly to Blackpool soon We may even take her on the Big One first!!!

Its good to see you here again hon, I guess I just wanted to say I was thinking of you too.

Got to absolutely love my Grandma!

She doesn't know it, but she's gonna help me one over on scummy Morrison's!! Her funeral is highly likely to be on Friday, a day that they seriously don't like people having as a day off. And there's naff all they can do about it this time!!!

I have only ever lost one Grandparent so I can only say that I found it extremely difficult. At least she is no longer in pain.

I hope that the funeral goes OK.

Anyway, just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of the loss to you and your family of your grandma. These can't be easy times, but they can be times for found memories and for feeling closer to your other family members.

After my grandad died my nan kept his ashes for ages before we all decided to take a holiday and scattered them during a lovely moment in Wales (which was a place he enjoyed )

The funeral was beautiful, very personal. The vicar was a lovely guy.

One of my Grandma's oldest friends, Bert, wrote a poem about her life, and read that out along with a moving tribute to her.

I bought a Todmorden News to see the deaths page, but there was actually an article about her, as she used to be the Mayoress there.

Calderdale council sent a letter of regret to my uncle too.

I hadn't realised how highly regarded my Grandma was in Tod before now and it was really nice

She left me a sapphire and diamond eternity ring, it's beautiful, I'll never part with it.

She had a great send off, which I carried on last night, and although it was sad, I felt more content when it was all over
