The scene in the Railway Children where Bobby goes to the station and everyone's wishing her luck, and the train pulls out and the steam clears and her father's standing there... and she runs down the platform shouting "Daddy, my daddy". I can't watch it
Film Scenes that make you emotional
Me, him and Sydney have just watched A Time To Kill.
The summation scene near the end, from Matthew McConaughey had me choked up with tears, and it made me think, what other films, or scenes from films, have that same emotional effect on you?

Vix, just *remembering* that scene has made me go a bit tearful!
But then again, I'm a dreadful old softy. Two others that always have me fighting back the tears are the ends of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and 'Casablanca' - two of my all-time favourites, but that doesn't mean I can watch then without tissues handy!

Buffy Death v. weepy
Lion King, not Mufassa's (spelling) death, but the intro, where everyone's happy, the muscis great and yippy! we have a new king, very very weepy
Disney's Mulan (I'm not a child trapped in an adult's body), when all of the people bow down to her at the end

Okay, two scenes come to mind straight away, although I'm sure I could come up with more if I really though t about it. Anyway...
The first one is the final scene of 'It's A Wonderful Life' where George Bailey finally realises how special life really is when all his friends turn up and have raised enough money to cover the money lost from the bank.
The second one is at the end of 'Schindler's List' when Schindler is about to leave and he collapses when he realises he could have saved more Jews had it not been for his own capitalist drive. And then Ben Kingsley's character reassures him that generations of Jews will now live through his actions.
Neither fail to make me cry when I watch them.

The one that springs to mind immediately is in Titanic when the ship is sinking and the mother is cradling her children
Floods of tears every time

Well have to agree on Shindlers List there Dino but for me it would be the scenes where you follow the little girl in the Red Coat roaming through the the town , and well if youv'e seen the film you'll know the rest.

I can't see how anyone could be fail to be moved by such a well put together and emotional piece of filming
That one always gets me too. But them I cry at everything

Yep , me too. And not only because it's sad. Sometimes I find it hard to analyse exactly what it is that moves me - people fighting adversity, risking their lives, helping others, showing a talent, babies, brass bands - you name it, I've probably cried about it!

Me too. I generally find happy, triumphant stuff even more tear jerking than sad stuff. But, and Watcher girl will back me up on this, I will cry at almost anything.

The end of Gladiator was bad - Watcher Girl had to take me into the cinema toilets and comfort me afterwards, until I got over it. Actually, she is normally the one who has to cheer me up again after films. The one that really did me in, though, was The Red Shoes. I won't spoil it for anyone who doesn't know the end, but I could have gone through several boxes of tissues that evening!
I cry at every bit of a movie we're expected to cry at... and a few others too
One day when I was working away from home I was bored and decided to watch a few movies. I spent an evening watching Return To Paradise and The Green Mile and I was a wreck of tears and sniffles for the rest of the night

In an american tail when fivel looks up at the moon and sings the song and his sister is looking and singing to the moon also i just go
I have to admit I cried at TitanicI also cried when I saw "The Body" and the three following that.
The mini series "North and South" has some really sad moments too
The end of "Cruel Intentions" had a bizarre effect on me too! Every time I watch it I feel emotional at the end

Well I think between you guys you've picked out all of my weepies!
Breakfast at Tiffany's - IS my all time fave
Watership Down, I cried at most of that, either though fear or sadness... titanic, the first time I saw that I started crying as soon as it started sinking about 45 mins into the film and didn't stop until we got out. Not that I thought the film was brilliant, but the story is a tragedy. Also Lion King, when the dad lion dies. Step mother, at the end where The mother walks into the roon with all the huge photos of her children, never fails. Armageddon when she finds out Bruce Willis hasn't come home.

The end of Watership Down always makes me cry, Ghost makes me all tearful, but Steel Magnolias always has me in floods of tears it is truly a rollercoaster of emotions.
Me too, I just love Susan Sarandon, be it The Client, Dead Man Walking, Thelma and Louise, Bullduram, the White Palace, she's great. You have taste!

Well, except for Titanic
The only film I've ever really cried watching was the Fox and the Hound. I watched it a few months ago and that scene when the old lady takes the fox in the car to leave him in the woods just left me hysterical. I couldn't stop the tears! He was just so happy and then he she just left him there and it was raining! God, just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes and I don't usually cry about things. It's things when people (or foxes ) are really happy and excited about something and then disapointed that really get me.
