You a 'Chasing Amy' fan by any chance, Jayjay? It is a fantastic film, definitely Kevin Smiths best.

I'm among those who'll cry at almost anything. Sometimes can be very annoying when it's something I don't actually like very much, or I'm aware how manipulative it's being yet falling for it anyway.

I would have to say the film that's made me cry most that I can remember is Ken Loach's 'Land and Freedom'. For pretty much all of the final half hour...

There's also the fact that I spent the entirety of yesterday watching all the KS films with some mates - from Clerks to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - which might have something to do with the dominance of Chasing Amy in my list.

But yes, it's not only my favourite KS film, but also one of my all-time favourite films (second only to Fight Club, probably), and those scenes never fail to nail me.

i thoguht the mummy was really sad coz he was a really nice bloke he only wanted his girl friend to come back to life and everyone tried to kill him, poor bloke

Hmmmm I got really giggly & happy when Leo died in Titanic!! hehe you didn't say which emotion I could feel...

But seriously I got rather teary eyed in Life is Beautiful the film that won loads of awards about some Italian Jews in a Death Camp. And also Sorbivor I dunno if thats the right spelling but thats about some Polish people in a Concentration aswell! I guess anything that could be real life pain and hurt gets me all sad.

Also in that movie, Fried Green Tomatoes. Oooh its sooo sad!!! When her best friend dies!! But other than that I don't get that sad in movies

I know what you mean, it made me feel kinda funny as well. The ending is superb IMO. The soundtrack is what did it for me, some excellent tracks. And the fave? 'This Love' I think it was by Craig Armstrong or something like that, funny that considering it was a girls voice I remember.

i thought the bit where the kid in Life IS Beautiful finds his mum is much sadder than when the dad dies. It was something about the comic walking that made me not realsie he'd actually died until about 2 scenes later whe he didn't turn up again.

Titanic didn't make me cry.

I'd have to say the major scene in "Sophie's Choice", when it became apparent what Sophie's choice really was
That hit me in the place where it really hurt!

The end of Gladiator was bad - Watcher Girl had to take me into the cinema toilets and comfort me afterwards, until I got over it. Actually, she is normally the one who has to cheer me up again after films. The one that really did me in, though, was The Red Shoes. I won't spoil it for anyone who doesn't know the end, but I could have gone through several boxes of tissues that evening!

Which is strange, really, cos i'll cry at anything too... just less than her. The Red Shoes required a long walk round the park for the rest of the afternoon for recovery.
I remember crying a lot at the end of Ma Vie en Rose, which kind of ended happily, but that is just as likely to set me off.

I hate that, i end up crying even as i'm thinking how much i don't like the film or the way the scene is being handled.

Strangely, despite being utterly spoiled for it and the next season, when i watched Buffy's death for the first time a couple of months ago i bawled for ages afterwards. I thought i'd cry, i was just surprised by how much it got to me.

Hey, I sobbed too, and I must have seen that episode about 10 times before that! It's the music that really does it, I think. Fantastic score by Christophe Beck.

Hey, I cried at the end of last weeks (Sky1) episode...

Previously I have sniffled at:
'Becoming' Pt 2, not the bit where she sends Angel to Hell, the bit where she leaves Sunnydale, with Sarah McLala's (can't remember the spelling) 'Full of Grace' as the soundtrack.
'The Body', I think I stopped sniffling for about 2 minutes in total during that. The whole 'mum being dead' thing really gets to me.
'Five by Five' (Angel season 1) where Faith breaks down and ends up begging Angel to kill her because she's evil. Eliza's performance during that whole sequence is stunning, chilling and moving by turns.
Can't remember any movies I've sniffled at, but I know there's a few.

I seem to be welling up at most episodes this season...

NYPD Blue: The episode when Bobby Simone dies... i cried so hard, i had a headache for the rest of the day.

Last week's episode of Angel... didn't make me cry, just really unsettled me.

Becoming Pt.2.. when Buffy realised Angel was "back" but she had to send him to hell anyway

Films:

The end of "Ghost" when Sam goes to heaven.. actually most of the film made me a little teary.

I don't particularly like "Titanic" but that scene with the mum cradling her babies as the water gushed in upset me a lot.

I'm sure there are more...

Its a Wonderful Life - but its tears of happiness, and those are the best kind!!

La Bamba - cuts me right up!

A.I. - the bit when the mother rejects her 'son'.

One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Empire of the Sun, and Frantic are others.

The end of Pay It Forward always gets me.
