The tune going around my head courtesy of the girl who was singing it in a really bad voice today at work is from the musical Sound of Music - Climb Every Mountain.

Also a song which wouldn't get out of my head for months & months last year was the Moloko song where she was dancing around in the dress made up of those shiny squares - my mind has recoiled so much from the horror of that song repeating in my mind that it has wiped the title!

Yes! yes it was & *ARG!!!* yes it now is again!

for the past two weeks i've had "Break your heart - live!!" by the Barenaked Laides in my head, it just won't leave me alone!! aaarrgghhhh!! not that i don't like the song, i do, a lot, but it just won't leave, even when i sleep, i drempt about the band last night!!

Interspersed with that I have "Three small words" from the Josie and the Pussy cats movie stuck up there in my brain too!!

Okay, I'm sitting here with 'Roxanne' in my head (the tune, not the movie). So, on the topic of evil tunes

I'd only just got that out of my head as its the first track on a cd we keep playing in the car .... if I'm alone I tend to skip it!

The one I keep getting drawn to at the moment is Prodigy's "No good for me" track

For the last couple of weeks I've had Giles's song from Once More With Feeling stuck in my head. Although, tonight at work I found 'The Best Air Guitar Album in the World' (how cool is that ?!?! ). So I stuck it on, and now I've got assorted 'classic' rock tunes going round in my head.

"...Tie your mother down, tie your mother down ...", "...Smoooooooke on the waaaaaaterrrrrr, Fire in the sky ...", "...Here I go again on my own ..." etc. etc.

There is a fool proof method for getting annoying songs out of your head. it sounds mad, but scientific research proves that it works (ok so it works for everybody i've met in the last two years which is about as scientifioc as you're going to get)

Anyway - back to the method. If you have a song in your head and it won't go away sing outloud #stand and deliver, your money or your life (dumdiddlydiddlydum) HAH!#
And the song goes away AND you don't have stand and deliver in your head!!!

You have to do it out loud and yo have to do the full line with the Hah! and everything and providing you don't think about the song you were trying to get rid of too hard it works!! Try it
