The IQ test that is being transmitted on BBC1 and simultaneously on the internet. Score cards have also been printed in the national press.
Its a live test to guage the nations IQ. Obviously it isn't 100% accurate. But having just completed mine on the net I'm interested in my individual result.
But may have to wait until Sunday to get the results.

I've just done my test...the maths section scared the hell out of me !!
I'm hoping the langage section will pull my score up. I hope I did OK...I got a bit worried by some of those questions; I knew there was a reason that I quit Algebra !!!

Ok then, I'll go first with my result - 98.
Not as bad as I thought considering I did have to answer the front door in the middle of the test and missed about 3 questions.

Now had I had more alcohol beforehand it may have been a completely different story

And being from Blackburn i *have* to mention this:
According to the results Burnley FC surporters have an average IQ of 76.

I thought the speed at which the questions passed online made it even more difficult, and it was quite distracting having to keep one eye on that timer thing.
I kept score as the programme progressed, and achieved 84 - which apparently means I'm educationally subnormal (ie, I'm a thicko me). Oh, wait, the test didn't take any accout of dyslexia (which meant I scored abysmally on all the arthmatic sections) did it? Whoops, bit of an oversight that ...
This is just one example of the spurious imbecility of the whole programme and concept of finding the "National IQ". IQ scores can be immensely useful in certain circumstances, but should never be taken as giving anything close to a conclusive indication of "intelligence", which is so subjective and varied no test can hope to genuinely measure it. Something this tedious waste of a Saturday night did nothing to adress. (But then, who'd be interested in that when there are blondes and builders to set against each other? )
People's achievements matter far more than numbers on a piece of paper: I'd be seriously concerned about the IQ of anyone who was seriously concerned about their IQ!

i've done other IQ tests on internet sites and got something between 121-136...i'll give this one a go when i got a bit mre time
I got 95...not too bad considering I'm abismal at numbers !!!
I did something similar to this with an educational psychologist - at the age of 14 my maths age was 9 and my English age was 18 + (!!)
No wonder I couldn't do the numbers bits !

From the first time I saw this advertised I thought "coo, gimmick"; I didn't watch the show as I had more important things to do (alphabetising my toenail clipping collection, for example), but I've just taken the test, and have come to the confident conclusion that *yawn*.
Asside from the problems that all improperly administered reasoning tests suffer from, this one featured - poorly worded questions laden down with assumptions, a cutesy interface, restricted format questions, very restricted target audience (zeroed presumably around 100, for a C1/C2 social group), yadda yadda yadda.
Anyone out there interested in reasoning tests would be best advised to look at something like the GRE general test, or contact someone like Mensa if you're specifically after an IQ test (though I'd advise against that as I'm not a great fan of classical IQ measures).
My gut feel from having looked at the tests, a few stats and some peoples reactions is that it's too easy to do badly, and too hard to do well; the top and bottom deciles are going to be far too low, as the test was subject to the characteristics that would lessen your score (eg dyslexia, aculculia etc) but not characteristics that would better it (eg timed responses, greater variability in style of question).
I mislike bad science and bad statistics, this show did us a disservice. But then again it was probably no worse than 90% of what's on TV.
Grumble, grumble, whinge...

I was tested in school and we had seperate scores for maths and english. Seems a much better way of you ask me since everyone has an affinity for one or the other.
They also didnt tell us what the teste were for so there was no pressure.
Didnt take the test last night tho 'cos i had company over.
