Spike, that is truly awful news. Wish there was something I could say to make things better, but there isn't. I hope it doesn't come to amputation, but if it does, you and your grandad have my sympathies.

I have to say, and I really hope this doesn't sound bad,but it's being playing on my mind for a while now. but you must be truly thankful that you still have your grandad, he may lose a limb, but you will still have him full minded, and there to love and see every day. I lost my grandad a few years ago, and as he brought us up, I can't tell you what i would give just to have him back for one day. Grandads are really special. I do hope that hasn't come across as mean, I truthfully do not mean it that way. I just felt I had to say, that even though it doesn't seem that way, you are very lucky. My sympathies are with you.

This is very sad and unfortunate news

One thing we all should learn from it though is to not leave these sorts of things 7 years. If there's a lump you think shouldn't be there, get it checked out as soon as you can, don't put it off until it's too late.

good news, they're going to use radiotherapy and try and cut off the lump. however he'll need to have skin graphs and stuff and it'll still be bad but at least at the moment its sorta looking good and he'll get to keep his arm
