Right there with you on that one.

Because I would never leave my other half over something like that, but I doubt we would be together if he had made it clear from the start that the relationship would not be physical.
Could you have a long term relatioship with....
a celibate
Just out of curiosity, as I know someone who is really in love with this celibate, and they don't know whether they want to go into a relationship with them
Whats your views?

I think it would depend on the situation... if it was celibate until marriage, then yes I could go for that. But if it was to stay celibate for the rest of *my* life, then no I honestly don't think I could do that.
I quite admire people who can do that but if I was gonna spend the rest of my life with someone I'd like to give them a road test beforehand, so to speak

I'm interested to know , just what kind of relationship you could have?
See to me yes I agree with Spike that love isn't all about sex , but then it is a big part, so surely if that isn't involved then it would be a friendship rather than a relationship

Well, of course there is... but i'd have to agree with Sange, a relationship without sex is really just friendship, or at least i think it will become just that.

i jsut feel theres a lot more to a relationship than just sex.
Your friend could always outsource...go out with the celibate and sleep with other people.
Or would that be against the rules?

well there are things celibates allow, kissing for example, you don't kiss friends, well not passionately unless you're involved, also a few other things they often allow which i can't go into here. but there is also always the chance the celibate may change their mind later in life.

thats something i didn't think of, yes i'd probably be dissapointed about not having kids but i'd rather be with someone i love without kids than a woman i don't with kids.
