i know its a bi of a farce, but frankly if i was irelands manager i would kept keane, he's by far the most inspirational member on that team, i think they'll struggle with out him

What a goit!!
I know that i shouldn't really bet hat bothered about how Ireland do in the world cup but this situation has just annoyed me immensely.
Roy Keane decided yesterday that he wasn't going to play in the world cup. So, Irelands manager phones this other midfieldert and says, ok mate you're comming to japan. So, obviousl this guys well chuffed - its a pretty big thing to play in the world cup obviously.
Anyway, about half an hour before the final deadline for changing the team Roy Keane decides that he wants to play after all. By this time they've already printed up the other guys official world cup kit and booked him a flight to the training ground.
So, they change the order again about 5 mins before the official team deadline and have to tell the replacement that he's not playing after all. Then this morning Roy Keane slags off the team, manager and the Ireland football association in the papers and has a slanging match with the manager in a meeting where he was supposed to be apologising, an gets send off home again.
So, Ireland are a man down and this other player has had his world cup hopes raised and dashed all because Roy Keane is too big for his boots and thinks he's it.
Why are some football players such goits???

No surprise he plays for Man Utd under Alex Ferguson really, is it?

Well, it shows that the Ireland team doesn't revolve around Mr. Keane now doesn't it?.. and it serves him and his arrogant nature right.. with some luck, the Irish squad will do well enough that he won't be missed at all!.. One player doesn't make a team (though the way we're reacting around Beckham's foot injury, i sometimes wonder)
