Lawyers....

Are any of you lot legal bods?
I need to find info regarding libel and slander regarding posts on internet message boards.
example... if someone posts about an activity which is legal in their home country, and this message is read by someone in another country in which the activity is illegal, what legal action can people take.
I remember reading about the Hague conference on private international law raising this point, but I'm having trouble finding any more details.
If anyone has any knowledge on this subject I'd be really greatful.

i don't know anything really, but i can go througgh all the law books at work and see what i cna find for you tonight, i normally jsut look up criminal stuff like you can get 14 years i think it was for setting someone on fire with intent to kill.

Thanks, that link you gave me was great, gave me a few good leads to research.
[sigh] I can't believe I'm actually doing this. The guy involved has been making my life hell, even threatening me, and yet here I am trying to find info to help him ( I knew trying to develop a moral conscience was a bad idea
