Aww. I love kids
Had a bad day? so had I until....
Had to share this. I was having a terrible morning at work, but this afternoon was decidedly better...
A little boy at work was writing about how he would feel in a new school. He came up to me to check a spelling.
We have a mnemonic to remember how to spell because "Big Elephants Can Always Understand Small Elephants" (so the first letter of each word when put together spells because).
kid - "Is this how you spell because?"
me - I look and he's has written becoule "No, have you forgotten the elephant mnemonic?"
kid - "No its big elephants can only understand little ens"
Then a little later, We were talking about things that made us cross or happy.
Kid - "I would feel happy if someone picked me up when I was unconcious"
Me - Do you know what unconcious means?"
Kid - "No but I know its what you do when you come out of the pub."
Don't they say the funniest things?

Awww!! Thats sooo cute !
My little 3 year old cousin was saying how he loved Harry Potter the other day. His eight year old sister then piped up; 'That makes you Gay then!'
How does she know what that means ???

don't think i've heard anything like that recently, except that my 4 year old cousin told me she watched scream and she was scared of the ghost man who gutted a woman that shocked me that my auntey let her wtch a film thats 14 years too old for her.

That's really disturbing. There's a reason why films have age certificates an the fact that your cousin was scared by scream and remembers that scene is a perfect illustration why.

I realise that you have to bend the rules a bit and theres nothing wrong with letting a 14/15 year old watch an 18 film but a four year old watching a slasher movie - its just too much
I was on the Ferry back from French at the weekend and a school group of French Kids were watching the TV in one of the lounges, they found Scream 2.
It was a great laugh watching a group of 10yo's getting grossed out. When their teacher came in he looked at the TV, looked at them and then left.
