I can't see England beating Sweden as Ljunberg & Larsson will cause too many problems for the English defence although I do think that game will be a scoring draw...

World Cup 2002 - Watch England get stuffed :p
Okay then the World Cup starts tomorrow so who do you think will win, when will England get put out and have you got any money on it?? Or do you hate the World Cup and wish that you didn't have to put up with it??
I stand to win £132 if Portugal win the world cup and beat Brazil in the final.. so heres hoping
Gotta say I don't think England have got much of a chance...A loss to Argentina and draw with Sweden and a win against Nigeria is what they'll come away with but I think Sweden will beat Nigeria and draw with Argentina

Not so much Ljunberg and Larsson causing too many problems as a midfield without teeth and a one dimensional attack worthy of Norway or Taylor at his 'peak'. Thing is, it helps if you have tall forwards if you're going to hoof it up field everytime.

The thing that bugs me most when England do something good is that its miled for years and the rest of Britain has to put up with it. 1966 anyone?

The what about '66 lark really does my head in an all. Its no wonder England can't do well with the shadow of that hanging over their heads. It was 36 years ago for goodness sake! Half the team are (probably)dead! Get over it!

And, in fairness, if *any* country had won a world competition once and not since, it's natural to keep looking back at that one triumph, especially the further that triumph is in the past.
And it's also the *media* that usually bang on about it the most. I *guarantee* if Scotland ever won the World Cup (and that's a *BIG* 'If', let's face it) it would be dragged up at every future major competition.

If England got knocked out of the World Cup, would i support Ireland?... you betcha!!!.. that's NUFC's goalie in there! But good luck to them, they so deserved their draw against Germany.
And Argentina stuff England?... didn't happen!!!.. whatever happens from now, we will remember that scoreline!..
