Dee Dee Ramone
Punk icon Dee Dee Ramone, founder member of the legendary Ramones, is dead. The bassist was 50.
A spokesperson for the L.A. County Coroner's office has revealed he died in his Hollywood home on June 5. Ramone (real name Douglas Glenn Colvin) was found unresponsive by his wife at approximately 8:40 p.m. PT. She then called the Los Angeles Police Department, and L.A. City Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, MTV reports.
Cause of death is yet to be determined by the coroner's office, though they are working the assumption of a possible accidental drug overdose. An post mortem was scheduled for yesterday (June 6).
Dee Dee formed the Ramones in the Queens district of New York with Johnny, Tommy and Joey in 1974. Frontman Joey died in April last year after a long battle with cancer.
He last shared a stage with his fellow Ramones in March, when the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Thats really sad news. I love the Ramones.
My mum told me and like you lot it really upset me.
Ironically, yesterday my band decided to play "Blitzkreig Bop" for the school caberet.
I'm gonna miss him; it was tragic when Joey died and now Dee Dee.
