Siding with the obvious minority opinion, there could be a very good reason why he didn't show up or call you, so wouldn't be so quick to condemn him as a heartless git and no-good worthless pond scum in case the guy's mother dropped dead or (as T says) he got hit by a bus or something.

Anyway, you never know, he could have turned out to be the hideous blind date from hell, so you may well have had a lucky escape !!
