i'm pretty sure only i know the real me.
A couple of my friends have a pretty good idea, and my family aren't far off...but i guess everyone's different wiht different people.

I don't knwo if i'd like anyone to know me completely..it would mean they could second guess everything i'd do and lying would be extremely hard..i mean those little white lies to make people feel better. There'd be little i could do to surprise people, i think it would be boring

although at times it could be comforting...to know someone else understand becuase they understand the real you.

And how wives are you planning to have then Spike?

I know one or 2 of my mates know me fairly well, but i think they only really know what i've told them and whatever they have manage to piece togeter. Do they know the real me? I guess so. I don't particualrly act too differently when i'm around my friends then say when i'm at home. Basically i think i'm a kinda of 'what you see is what you get' kind of guy.

It is my less than humble one that no one knows the real you, including yourself, because who you are is defined by how you are perceived, and how you are perceived is dependant on the view point.

In other words, I have one view of who I am, but it is an insular and blinkered view. There are aspects of me that only those near to me can see in me - and that I can only be aware of by them telling me. This is why it is so important to us to hear what other people think of us - good or bad. We're too caught up in every minute thought we have to always see who we are, and how we act.

And yes, I behave differently with different people, but then social etiquette demands this, as well as different people bringing out different aspects of me. None of these are the whole me, but they are all part of the real me.

The only way you can get a complete picture of someone would be to access the opinions of everyone that person came into contact with, including themselves - a truly mammoth task.

Seeing as you have difficulty even talking to women to get their phone number you may find it a little difficult to propose once - never mind three times. Maybe you should go on one of those confidence courses if you are to realise your dream

Surely even if someone knew you as well as you know yourself, this isn't the same as being able to know when you're lying or what you're going to do. I certainly can't predict perfectly my own actions, I just have more information than everyone else with which to try to.

I think actually that a lot of folks know the "real" me. That's the me that likes cool guitars, fast cars and complains about the heat. The rest of me seems to change quite a bit, and even I don't know that "me" sometimes! So if I don't even know me.. is that really the "real" me?

The person who knows more about me than anyone else is my hubby he knows my strengths and my weaknesses.

There's only been one other person who's seen me emotional and that was my bridesmaid who I haven't seen in 6 years since she married an serviceman and moved abroad.

My family don't even know who the real me is .. I think by now they expected me to have 2 kids and be more grown up.

This is very right - at work a person behaves a certain way, at play a person behaves a certain way and at home a person behaves a certain way - I'm not surprised more people don't have clearcut split personalities

Plus the 'real you' is a dynamic concept. What consitutes the 'real you' right now isn't the same as what it will be in 10, 5 or even 1 years time.

Well thats my dose of deepness over for the day. I think i need to go and watch some Tweenie or something to cleanse my self

I've been thinking about this recently.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm a private person who puts up a front to stop people from actually knowing me-I'm scared of getting hurt so I have this shell where I appear to be a cold and fashion obsessed vain shallow girl but to the few people that really know me I am friendly and loyal and caring. I think I appear kinda mysterious to people-I'm very quiet at school. I know I would love to come across as a deep spiritual person who goes round quoting Buddha but I don't see that happening any time soon.

But I'm a 16 year old girl so I suppose I'm changing and growing up into a mature adult!
