FF8...need i say more

I haven't played FF9 yet, but up until now FF8 is my fave

I LOVE the story in FF7 there's a real quest involved that you can really feel a part of the search for Cloud, the death in the middle and so on, great stuff. However, I feel it's let down somewhat by the poor and childish graphics in the main world compared to the fighting scenes.

Then we had FF8, possibly the best game ever. (I said possibly) there's a fantastic anime feel to it, a great story, a LOVE story at that and one that actually took me in. The characters are great and far more adult, but still retaining a comedy edge in a few places. I tend to think the story weakens a little at the end, but not by much. 7's story stayed strong but had a few things that needed to be tied up that weren't. 8's story was a little weaker towards the end, but it was clear.

So 8 gets my vote. When I finally get round to getting it for PC, FF10 should be very good. Very Very good.

I personally have to say that 8 is my favourite!! I have both 7 and 8 but I got bored with 7 when I got stuck on an island with no magic or anything!! *stupid side quests!!*

I'm not saying 7 is bad, by no means, it's actually quite good, but 8 really got me, I like the story, the characters were great and I still play it to this day, over and over again!!

I can't wait to get to play 9, still not found anyone with the game and generous enough to have me round to thier house that often!! hehe!! And 10 should be awesome!! can't wait!!

I loved the fact you could name the characters in FF7, it gave it a more personal approach. Haven't played FF9, can you name the gods and characters in that, because it would be great! I'd save FF7 was real strong for story but FF8 improved game faults.

8 was actually the first one I played...and I'm still going through it finding all the stuff I missed the first time

I played a small bit of 7, but I couldn't really get into it, same with 9...I dunno, I guess after 8 I kind of expected them to follow a similar progression, storyline-wise. They were both a bit muddled I thought

You get to rename characters in FF8 & FF9 as well but only if you have the namingway card and take it to certain people..can't remember who or where you get it in either game though.

FF8 for me, but having said that its the only one i've played so...

When i get my playstation 2 i'm looking forward to wasting 100 hours or so playing on FF10

6 or 7. Didnt really like ff8 that much and i havent played 9 or 10. Seven was spectacular tho.

I've only completed FF8, I tried to play FF7 but I couldn't get into it so FF8 is definitaly my favourite!! I've completed it about 6 times now

I can't wait to play FF9 though!

by reading this post it would appear that most have onyl played the play station games. but the best game of the series and in my opinoin best game ever is Fianl Fantasy 3 (6) since then the games have went a bit down hill. i mean even tho it was on the snes it had a much better story and cast than all of the sony games put together. the early ones were great 4 is a good one too, so are the gameboy ones

4,5 & 6 have all recently been released on the Playstation on the same disc in a game called Final Fantasy Anthology..thinking of getting it for a look..

you should definatly get it!! tho they have changed some of the look of ff6 in it ie terras hair went from being green to blonde? the cgi bits are nice too

agreed! ff6 is possibley the best game ever made ever!! the cast of characters is brill, great soundtrack..ok its on the snes but it was ground breaking, and who could forget how great mog is in that one!!! "the hair!!!!!!"

I played FF7, FF8 and FF9

I like the story in FF7
I really don't like FF8. The graphics are really cool. The magic system is rather confusing and the main character is a bit stiff. I makes it rather difficult to identify with him.

FF9 rules...
GREAT!! I personally prefer the medievel setting over the Sci-fi bit in FF8. And really cool and cute characters.

i hate them all mainly because a guy i was involved with ages ago was obsessed with them lol

but i do have uhh...ff8 but i can't get past the station wheres theres two old people LOL how much do a suck! :d *laughs at herself*
