The Great Alton Towers Scam
Just got back from a really cool day at Alton Towers apart from the new Air ride (which is great, but still no Nemesis) the best part was the lack of queuing me and the ex had to do
We took our 5 year old with us and because he's too little to go on the bigger rides, we got a ticket which allows 1 parent to queue and go on the ride while the other watches the child. When the 1st person goes on the ride they get a tick in the box next to the ride name and then after they have had their go they give the pass to the 2nd person who then goes to the exit gate, has the other box next to the ride name ticked and then rides the ride (with me so far ).
So clever old me thought why not go get another pass, tick the first box ourselves and then go to the exit gate. This way, even 'tho we had to ride seperately we didn't have to queue at all The longest line we stood in was 15 mins for the log flume ('cos Sam came on with us) and the shortest was Nemesis 30 seconds - this was when the queue was showing an hours wait. We also had the choice of front row seats 'tho I prefer the back
