The Sims....
Is anyone else as addicted to this game as I am ??? I LOVE it !!! 
I recently got all the add on packs and have been having fun messing around with them all today
So, anyone else play this game a lot ??

I've not got it but a friend from the Bronze made a house full of Buffy/Angel characters and a house of her and some friends and made them interact.
It's funny when you see the Spike-sim hitting upon all the girls in the house. And even better when he's hitting on the wrong girl, much to my friends dismay
Plus you can bully sims of people you don't like and make them ill and such.
My favourite was the addition of the Jay and Silent Bob sim patch and watching the two loafers around the house..esp when they set fire to someone elses house

Not played this myself but I am curious - what is it you find so compelling about The Sims? It's just that we had a debate at work on a recent project about shifting tastes and audiences for games...
Me, I'm a pretty traditional Doom/Quake "kill them, kill them all" sort of person but the idea of The Sims does sound quite intriguing. Different, if nothing else.

I just like watching to see what you can do with them all. With the add on packs, you've got a really cracking game !!!
For some reason though, although my people are in love, I can't get them to go in the vibrating bed together....

Yep, totally love this game. I probably spend at least an hour a day on it. The really sad thing is that I spent ages last week trying to get it to work on my laptop without having to have the CD in the drive so that I can take it anywhere I go.
I've found that getting the Sims to form relationships gets harder with each expansion pack.
When it was only the Sims it was dead easy to get two sims to fall in love & move in together. Now I have Hot Date it is an awful lot harder. Although I can get my Willow & Tara to ahem "play" in bed I still can't get one of them to move in with the other.
I suppose I could start them off in a house together, but that takes half the fun out of it. Plus it's impossible to learn to play any musical instrument with Sim room mates around as they just boo until the would be musician reaches a certain level & in the meantime all the booing causes major negative relationship points.

Posted: 00:25 Jul 18 2002 It does sometimes depend on the Sims personalities. Sometimes even with a relationship score of 100 shy Sims woun't um... well, you know. Sims with a high outgoing personality are much more likely to.

Also using the vibrate mode on the bed drains energy (well, you would expect it to really wouldn't you
) So try in the morning when the Sims are fully rested.

I haven't bben able to make it past thge end of the first day on the sims. I just can't get the hang of it. i suck at computer games but i really wanna play if you can do all these cool things with it. Anyone fancy giving me a tutorial

not played it for ages but was addicted and had some cool characters, i had susanna hoffs marry an alien from the alien films, i had trouble making myself a sim to marry her though and beat off the alien as they were quite happy together

I love the sims!! head2head I don't have the problem with getting mine in the vibrating bed. I love the barking noises they make under the covers. I got Sims hot date but I lost the booklet with the code you have to enter so I can't play it! Hmph!

Anyway, i love this game, i've a few of the add on packs aswell but I had trouble with one of them!! the booklet I got was with the wrong CD so had the wrong serial number!!
I once made a Barnaked Ladies house with all the band in there, that was fun as it was a house full of men, they kept burning it down!! hehe!! but the neighbourhood ladies seemed to like it!!
Mainly it's just the prospect of making friends with the other sims and so gettting promoted at work that is appealing to me, plus the fact that you can bulid your own houses and make them really good (especially if you have the unlimited cash cheat!! hehe!!) and seeing what all the gadgets do and stuff!!

In The Sims, it's love or nothing.Although, having said that, ometimes the relationships can go a bit funny. I was trying for a Buffy/Faith cos I'm a big B/F shipper, but ended up with a Faith/Dawn instead cos Buffy kept wandering off to play the piano. THe Bufy/Faith scores were much higher than the Faith/Dawn ones but F/D would jump into bed & F/B wouldn't.
Still, Buffy seems quite happy with the Host now, so I can't complain
