Capital of Culture
Today is the day when Liverpool is being visited by the judges for the European City of Culture title in 2008.
Is there anyone else out there who's city/town is up for this?

They should do alright as long as they keep the judges away from The Boat

Too true!. Well apart from a thriving nightlife culture (for those who like wearing next to nothing in sub-zero temperatures and are willing to pay exorbitant bar prices 
) we have a lot of interesting local history, wonderful architecture and a FAB football club

There's been lots of coverage on local news here too. It looks like Liverpool and Newcastle along with Belfast are the favourites
Unfortunately they had to pick the one day this week when it poured down to come visit!

i know it was a rubbish day 
its been nice all week too gah.
but i just saw something on the news and they said that we'd made a real effort as a city, so that sounded quite good
anyway the rain might've made things look nicer....its makes cars look nice and shiny...

Bristol's up for this as well, the only way I can see them winning it is if they stick loads of signs around Bath saying "welcome to Bristol"
