No disasters but then I go in for low maintenance hair cuts and just basically have it cropped, short back and sides etc. every month and a half or so. "Sir! Take it all off, Sir!"
What have I done?
I've just been to the hairdressers, and had my long hair cut to over my shoulders
Serious regrets!!
I didn't want it this short but the hairdresser got it all wrong and kept on cutting (she was even saying to me "my god, it's getting shorter and shorter!"
Anyway I hate it, and I was wondering what your hair disasters have been. Come on, console me

Haven't really had any total disasters although the hair dresser does always insist on cutting my hair so much shorter than I want it and she always says,
"Oh you are so lucky to have thick wavy hair"
She clearly has never had thick wavy hair and has no idea how annoying it is and how much time I have to spend just to get it looking half decent, Grrrrr

i'm just about to dye my hair pink (magenta)...so does anyone have any tips on how to do it well. My mum's gonna do it for me...i've heard putting vaseline around your hairline means you can wipe off any dye that stains your skin.

Ah, I have had many hair disasters. My worst one was when I had this luscious wavy red hair almost down to my hips, and I came out with brown hair up to my shoulders with a beetlejuice haircut. I was distraught!!
Luckily for me, my hair colouring has been sucessful *fingers crossed*
Im really sorry about your hair, Fred *huggles* don't worry it won't take long to grow out, or for you to find a way to make it look good, trust me

That vaseline thing worked for me, kinda messy though. Do a strand test before you do it to make sure its going to come out the colour you want. Are you blonde? because dye takes better on light hair, supposedly.

Yeah, if you're not very blond, you should probably do a pre lightner first. The colour will be more vibrant that way (tis true, tis true - not just reading off the packet

Yeh i am blonde...i'm going to do the vasleine thing, we decided to wait til today to do it

i did it...the colour is wicked! it's like really bright purpley-pink...it's so different and totally matches this hat i've just bought...

hair disasters... well I'm not very adventurous with my hair, but the one that comes to mind was that after I finished my first degree I wanted a "new look" - as you do, new chapter of your life and all...
Well, my hair was very thick and straight and went down to my waist, and I went for a very short bob, so that it was shaved at the back.
At first it was really cool, I loved it, then my dad saw it and although he never said anything I knew by his face he didn't like it.
So now I have my graduation photographs as a reminder NOT to do that again!
