Sweet shop near my parents in Shropshire sells popping candy which I've not seen in sooooo long The only other place I know which sells it is in London, but unfortunately south of the river

Anyone remember the chewy lolly called Drumsticks Yep - me and Len found them in our local Mackro's while shopping for sweets for the Tuck Shop at the Karate classes.

You'd be amazed at what you can find there

You can even get them in chewy bars - ooooohh they're gorgeous! I can get them from my local healds. My mum's always complaining that they'll ripmy teeth out

I bought some black jacks the other day.

I was really dissapointed, they don't turn your tongue back anymore

Are the Lucky Imps little sweets/mints that are really really hot??.. for some reason i keep thinking they were either black or red in colour

Blast from the past for me?.. my son watching the original versions of Paddington Bear and Bagpuss on video at the moment

Lucky Imps came in a small red box and were like very tiny black pillows - only with the heat of a volcano in each one! We used to have bets as to who could have the most followed by an ice cold can of coke!!!!


And another blast - i was at East Putney working last week, and Sophie Ellis Baxter came on the radio - i said 'I remember watching Blue Peter when her mum was pregnant with her'

To which my colleague replied ' JESUS! Ididnt realise you were THAT ####ing old!!!'

After several hours of crying, i told her were to go

Me too!!

As for blasts from the past, I was in a sweet shop the other day and they had Skull Crushers! They're little white skull things with strawberry flavoured stuff in the middle and you crush them and it looks (a bit) like blood oozing out!! I remember as a kid thinking that they didn't taste very nice but I still got them cos they were cool!!
