Have you done Start, Control Panel, Mouse and see if you can reset your settings? Or taken out the rollerball and checked it's not clogged up with fluff?

Mice tend to pick up bits of crud during their travels accross the mouse pad.
A good spring clean never hurts.
yes it worked by donig this, but for some reason it won't let serial mice work, dunno why not but i'm jsut happy its sorta working now. touch wood
