It was a programme situated around the teenagers of today who may have been influenced by such programmes and buffy/angel harry potter etc and got involved in witchcraft and/or vampirism (dark cults as the narrator put it). i managed to catch the last half an hour as i was much more interested on the bill murray film on bbc1 but from what they showed it was pretty sad in the fact that the three "witches" at the end were trying to be so like the girls from the film The Craft.
good luck to them if they're happy but i feel they dont even know near as much as they make out.

Oh *that* thing, I wondered what that was..
They sounded fairly pathetic to me, like they'd watched a couple of films (Yeah, The Craft in a big way) and maybe typed witches or wicca into google.. There was this bit bit about how they were slagging off "all the other girls that are just doing it because they think it's cool and popular", yet they seemed like they were exactly the same!!

i was flicking over from that and the bill murray thing too and something else (i think it was Le Femme Nikita)
The girls will grow out of it as they are fickle and will be liking something else by xmas if not sooner.
Did the program 'blame' Buffy (or shows like that).
The worrying thing was that teenage lad who bought fangs and had stupid makeup that made him look the some strange dancer from the 80s who had just wiped his hands over his eyes.

Scary, I was going to post about this.
It really got me annoyed as they were pressurising this girl to cut her finger so they could drink her blood and if she didnt do it then she wouldnt be in their coven. Thats not the way to treat your friends, and I think they have been watching too many films if they think that's what it's all about.
They were boasting about spells and how the religion has helped them, but when asked, the girl said "oh, umm im not sure if there is a witch heaven"
Yeah, whatever.
In my opinion, the 3 Essex girls had a good outlook on the whole matter, but Im biased so I guess I would say that. Plus, they seemed older and more responsible, and they were into the more religious side of it.
It really hurts my feelings though, as they say it's just a teenage phase. Sure, it is for those who are trying to just be different from other kids it is, but for those few who actually read up on or learn about witchcraft and it's backgrounds arent, so they shouldn't have just shown the one side of the story.
Rant over, i'm sorry

To be honest I just felt sorry for all the kids in this program, they were all turning to witchcraft cause of personal problems, divorce (There parents not theirs ) depression and thats really why i felt it was ok as long as it was harmless. As they get out of their teens and mature a bit more they probably won't need it anymore, when there 35, married and have kids of there own they'll probably just look back on it and laugh. But as for the vampire guy I just laughed at first but after a while I just felt sorry for him. If anything I think this program just showed how miserable teenagers are today and how witchcraft is becomming a crutch for them.
Missed it - looks like i missed an interesting prog
Saw this story on the Buffy site which is kinda connected...
" US conservative watchdog group The Parents' Television Council has slated Buffy as the very worst programme on the air.
According to the Council, Buffy season six ranked as the least "family-friendly" programme shown on an American network last year due to the "graphic violence and sex, often [mixed] ...with an underlying occultist element."
They particularly objected to a possible adult reference in the musical episode, and to the fact that Buffy is seen as a programme for teenagers. This is the third year running that the Council has listed Buffy in its top ten worst programmes.
Other programmes the Council objected to included Friends, WWF Smackdown and C.S.I. - Crime Scene Investigation. Programmes they liked included the little-watched Doc, about a doctor with old-fashioned morals, and the overtly religious Touched by an Angel."

I watched this and thought exactly the same, hmmmm someones been watching 'The Craft' Those older girls seemed quite normal and weren't just doing it to be a bit different, the others who were what 13? They seemed to just totally have the wrong end of the stick 'No ive researched more spells than you!'
Also, I dont remember being THAT boy obsessed at 13...scary!
People dont seem to get that Buffy was never really intended as a kids show so they just like to critisise What could possibly be objected to about Friends??? It really annoys me because no-ones forced to watch the programmes!

I watches the repeat of this program and i was so *thinks for non-swear word* annoyed with it that i took notes!
1) The they kept saying 'coven' and not 'cuven' (yes i know its splet with an o but its a 'u' sound) tho thats me just being picky.
2) The kids were doing nothing but spells from the craft or ones from jokey teenage books. They even did the 'stiff and a feather' thing. Plus they read allt he spells from books, true spells do not come your books, they come from inside your head and your heart.
3) They kept going on about magic being black or white but true magic is neither, its just that, 'true magic' its not a colour, its not bad or good, its jsut what it is to you.
4) One of the parents and one of the girls talked about self harming being something that pagans do, what cr*p! Self harming is a choice, not a part of a religon.
5) Wicca and pagan are religons and this was mentioned twice, Its not a flaming hobby, its a way of life. People dont read the bible because its a hobby, they read it because its from their religon or because they want to learn.
6) What, at the age of 13, can they be making spells about? Spells should not be for self gain and thats all they seemed to want from it!
7) The girls kept fighting over whos spell was better, if they are too childish to not fight about things like that then they shoudln't be messing witht he craft in the first place!
8) The 'teenage vampire' was nothing but a goth with fangs that was convinced that his craving for fags was his version of blood! And eew! he had his teeth molded in a pub!
9) Last thing, they all said that the only reason they are witches/vampires because they didn't want to be 'normal.' Normal is what is normal to you and is not a reason to bring what i class as shame to a religon.
ok...rant over, i *really* didn't like that program.
