/me looks and thinks after nearly 6weeks of summer hols with 4 kids , I'm probably not the best person to comment

Summer Camp...
been thinking that it mgiht be a really cool idea to do one of those summer schemes when you fly over to america and work in a kids summer camp, looks like it could be a real learning experince. Happened to mention it to SPIKE and his response was *this is how he sees me getting on there and this was a COMPLIMENT

despite that i still wanna do it, anybody got any advice, stories or experience of working in these sort of things it would be good to know other peoples opinions.

Well looks like we cant do it. Apparantly you have to like kids!! And they want us to be in bed at 10pm in the same cabin as the brats, and no smoking or drinking. Which means that there is no midnight trips to the forest to do what we do best.
In reality however we cant do it as i wont have finished my exams and the other yin will be at college. Looks like the kids are safe for another year!

Huh? all i emant was you're too cool for summer camp as they're like happy smiley strange people who could never be that happy. their lips are like glued to their cheeks to fix a permanent smile. no offence to anyone who smiles a lot.

you seen the summer camp in Adam's Family Values? yeah we WOULD be Wednesday and Pugsley in a place like that but i'd still wouldnt mind doing it.

I remember going to a presentation about them at Uni a few years ago and they sounded great, but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to go.
[b]Azrael{/b], who used to post on here and FSM has been over a few times and I know he loves it. I'm not sure how to contact him now, but I'm sure if you can find him he'll have tonnes to tell you about them

I can see it now! T21 invades camp america! Despite the setbacks for this year we are definatly doing it. (If we're accepted that is)

My friend (angels_hannah who posted on 'the road to t21' a few times) is over there right now. she has finished her stint at the summer camp and is now getting ready to go on a trek all around the US until December.
She has had a really good time...it is worth doing if you are willing to go through the police checks and the interviews.
