Hell, I missed it! Any chance it might be on Cartoon Network+?
September 11th - One Year On
May we all take a few moments to remember those affected by the disaster
May those who lost their lives continue to rest in peace and their loved ones and survivors continue to find the strength to carry on at this time.

You know you *can* edit/delete your own posts you know, if you *wanted* to show a little respect for people's feelings.. Or are Trolls incapable of that?
I watched the firefighter documentary too with MissKitty. I was transfixed the whole way through. It was really very emotional, and I didnt think it was over the top when they had a number people could call if they had been affected by watching it at the break between the news.
It was pretty emotional the whole way through, with me near tears at many parts, but I have to agree with Teresa - the thing that took me over the edge was the bodies falling - the SOUND.. - that made me cry.
It's one thing hearing a thud like that and not knowing what it was...but to KNOW exactly what that sound was...i couldnt handle that.
An astounding thing to be caught on film, and in some ways i'm glad i saw it, in others I wish I hadn't. I'll never forget the sound of the bodies hitting the ground.

I remember the photos of people half-way after jumping. How desperate must you get to do that? It was really horrid, now I heard that the programm had the noises on it, I'm glad I missed it, it would have been too upsetting.
What was the most shocking was the reaction of the fire crews to the noise of the falling bodies, firstly jumping in shock to the bang then when realising what it was, the dispair in their faces at not being able to help.
the most shocking to me was in one of the newspapers, of one person who was clinging to a girder in the gaping hole in the north tower right up where the one of the planes hit. knowing there was no chance of rescue that same person was then captured on film jumping.
to know you have a choice, but only at what death you will face -fire or falling, that is so heart rending, it gives me a sense of the terrible feelings going through those firemen who were unable to help them, when all their training was for that purpose. so sad, so sad.
And yet so may of those programs and news reports also showed the defiance and hope of the surivers to carry on, to stand against what has happened. like a son of one of the firecrews lost who has enroled in the same fireteam, to carry on his fathers work.that is strength. No wonder people in Newyork see Firemen, police and ambulance crews as superheros and idols, instead of rockstars and actors.

In case anyone should visit the site he's got listed in his profile as his homepage, I just want to make it clear I am not the poster there called 'Random' and I have no involvement with it whatsoever.

Ay C******! I guess it *was* pretty bogus, 'dude'. My bad

To be honest though, there's really very little danger of confusing Random the liberal with that other Random who posts on T21...
Oh, I'm sorry - I thought from your 03:34 Sep 13 post in this thread:
www.tangent21.com/it.php?node_id=45&topic_id=2475
that you were concerned about who said what to whom...
...or do the typo demon and the double posting demon have an evil triplet called the hypocrisy demon?

Yes, and read the last bit of Cat's post (10:01 Sep 12) on that thread to find out *why* I said that. Chalk 'n' cheese, big boy
