lateness

its so annoying isn't it? mainly why is that i went to town to go in the comic shop, sign on window, back in 15 mniutes, walk round for 15 mnis, come back, still locked. so walk to smiths, buy a magazne, come back 10 mniutes alter, still away. in whole i waited an hour and still it wasn't open, i don't mind if they said back in an hour but they didn't. in the end i gave up,m maybe there was a good reason but its so annoying. also you arrange to meet a mate, you get there 10 minutes early incase theya re a bit early and to make sure you're not late, and what happens? they are 10 mniutes late which means you've been waiting 20 minutes. its jsut so annoying

Have to agree with you on that one, Spike. Whenever I'm going somewhere or meeting someone, irrespective of whether it's business or pleasure, I always make a point of turning up early. For the same reasons you give. I think it is the height of rudeness to be late unless there's a good excuse. And in this day and age where most people have mobiles, you can text or call the other party if you are going to be late for some reason.

It just seems that some people can't be on time to save their lives.

I have a tendency to be either just on time or a bit late

my ex friend used to turn up late all the time, once she turned up over an hour late and didnt apologise!!!!

Yeah, I hate lateness too, I am another who always early, and isn't it funny the way people who are always late, and one time they're early make a huge deal about you being late this one time

I cannot stand lateness. My watch is always set 5 minutes fast and i'd rather be an hour early than an hour late. I think my whole thing with lateness comes from when i was born. Meant to be arriving on Christmas day i got bored and came out on October 21st instead...now thats early

I hate lateness too.. my father in law is the worst culprit.. he can be over an hour late sometimes and it can be really frustrating if i need to be somewhere else and i end up being late on account of him. Ray isn't too bad, though once upon a time he used to be terrible.

I always make a point of being on time, or a little early.. if i'm running late, then i make a point of calling whomever i'm meeting up with to let them know i'll be late. One day my sister might even do that for me

I am always late, I was late to a lecture yesterday by 15 minutes, that is because I was aiming for a lecture thaat did not exist two hours earlier.

I was an hour and 10 minutes late for a seminar today (did not walk in could not see any free computers).

I missed two seminars on Thurdsday as I was late as well.

White Hart So long, and thanks for all the fish.

I'm rarely late - I always leave early and I also hugely overestimate how long it will take me to get somewhere - for instance I'll allow 15 minutes for a 5 minute walk. And if I do get held up I'll call or text to apologise.

Saying that, I was 4 hours late for work one day last summer - but that was because I spent 3 1/2 hours pretty much stationary in a motorway jam

Well that is a good way to do it, I am starting to say I will arrive half an hour after I think I will arrive, that way I am only half an hour to an hour late normally
