Nothing they haven't been through before - the great sleeze days of the '90s, for example, where John Major's hillarious "back to basics" campaign was spectacularly derailed with what seemed like weekly revelations of Tory MPs' infidelity. (As exemplified by David "blubbery" Mellor ... who you can give a jolly good thwacking to at www.urban75.com/Punch/mellor.html )

The tories' "reputation" is taking quite a lot of flak at the moment, no?
John and Edwina
Firstly... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Secondly... LMFAO!!! I find it hilarious that with this and all the stuff about Archer coming out at around the same time the Tory's are reasserting their reputation as the party of sleeze AND at the same time helping the Labour Party by detracting attention away from the Annual party Conference. I think I heard a [comedy] quote somewhere that Saturday morning was the first time Alistair Campbell had gotten a lie in since Blair came to Power
Thirdly... Who really cares? It was 14 years ago, so why is there soooooooooo much proverbial hitting the fan about it So they had an affair *shrugs* It stopped before he became Prime Minister. Norma knew all about it and has long forgiven John. End of story surely?
and in case i hadn't made this clear... Heeheeheeheeheeheehee
Any other thoughts?

Really, though, they've been continuously going through it ever since then. David Mellor was followed by the cash-for-questions stuff, Jonathan Aitken, Jeffrey Archer, etc. etc.

I still can't quite believe that it's now been a decade since the Tories last lead in opinion polls..
