But is it wrong to put everything you have into your feelings and trust them blindly?? Following your heart?? Can it get you hurt more than if you factor other things in beforehand?? Or should you be mythodical with your choices??

I don't think it is wrong to trust your heart. God knows that I've done plenty of things in my time by following my heart. And yes, blindly at the same time.

But at the end of the day, you have to follow your heart as that is what can truly tell you what you want.

Ooh, toughie.

OK, personally, yes, trust your heart but dont rush things. even if it is love at first site, wont he still be there in a month if he loves you the same? yes. so take things slow, get to know them. make sure it's love and not lust, or else it could be too late and things can get messy.

thats my profound advice.

I agree Trust your heart... It'll get it wrong 99% of the time and you'll get hurt, but the other 1% will be great and well worth the hassle!

It's never wrong to do that.

To not follow your heart is to not allow yourself to live, love and be loved.

(Having said that I plan to be a hypocrit and remain single like my original plan I have more fun this way and don't have to worry about the "other half"...though I do miss the closeness occassionally.)

Using your heart is a very fine (and dandy) idea, but it doesn't usually work in practice.

I highly reccomend using your head as well as your heart... to only use your heart makes you blind, and vunerable to the stupidity of blind emotion.

Well, Sydney stole the quote I was going to use. So I'll go with another one instead. "Love is like oxygen. Love is a many splendored thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love."

I'm a hopeless romantic at heart, though with the emphasis on hopeless. Following your heart is a good way to do things. It means that whatever you choose to do, and whether it works out or not, you know you've done it for the right reasons. Yes, it can get you hurt more because you leave yourself very open and anyone who wants to can take advantage of that. But it can also lead to great happiness too, and lessen the regrets of "what if's".

But to live that way takes a lot of courage. I know I'm too scared to...

I'm pretty much in agreement with PoF, nothing worse than a big pile of what ifs lying around. But it can be hard to be ruled by your heart rather than other body parts like my mate
