Bush delays war on Iraq.
The American president Bush will not attack Iraq aslong as the negotiation about the tvrights are still in progress. A spokesperson of the American president today confirmed that negotiations between the US gouverment and CNN have been cancelled and that President Bush is not happy at all with the current situation. "At the current bid of CNN we won't drop any bomb on Iraq. We took in consideration to move the attack to a cheaper location like Cuba or the Ivorycoast but the shirtsponsors weren't willing to play ball.
Earlier this year the US government signed a contact with Nike as the main shirt sponsor of the US paratroopers and the marines. United Airlines will be sponsoring the airattacks and the movie rights have already been sold to Walt Disney. But with the most important sponsor, CNN, no agreement has currently been made.
To the suprise of most, the us government negotiatiors are currently looking at the offer of CBS. If CBS would get the tv-rights, its expected by insiders that, the war will be live broadcasted from New York presented by showhost David Letterman.
In the Nevada desert the US militairy is currently praticing on wars with commercialbreaks. The soldiers will get a signal via the mobilephone build into their helmets that they should stop firing until the commercial is over.
The US government is currently looking at a way to add commercialbreaks into the convention of Geneve, but the UN is currently blocking this proposal. The iraqe leader Hoesein demands that the commercials will be subtitled with the arabic language.
