I was wondering this too

Gone are the days when the room was packed and admittedly the room is too quiet.

Where has everyone gone?

I can easily answer for myself: I'm at uni. Too busy working my ickle socks to the bone on multiple essays...

I must apologise for never visiting the chat room. I use another one and am totally and utterly useless at multitasking, so I've never logged into more than one at once. Might give it a go though... when I have time later in the week.

As for ideas, I have none at the moment. Pretty crap really, eh?

I always busy in lycos chat chatting up fit birds. I suppose i've not posted as much lately but i'm spendind every hour of everyday chatting up avril lavigne fans trying to get a cheap ticket but to no avail also i've sorta run outta weird ideas for posts, maybe i'm getting sane which is reaslly a dreadful thought

I often wander by and then wander off, and I'm not exactly the most talkative person when I am around.

We could always resort to running elizabots, alicebots etc to chat to people and/or themselves

I've noticed it's been quiet - I tend to pop in and out and I'm much more likely to reply to threads than start new ones, so if there's nothing that interests me I'll just wander off again... As for chat, I keep meaning to go in more, but I'm always a bit shy about it, and there are always a million other things to do.

It has definitely been quieter lately. there are less new topics being started it seems. i can never think of anything worth posting. and in some of the forums hardly anyone ever seems to post there, like the film forum and even the cult tv one.
and i'm sure that we've lost some people.

I might start post here again and maybe come in to the chatroom and again as it seems safe to do so ,


And I'll also need to change my nickname back to CC again I think

For me its due to uni. I have so much work to do its not funny. By the time I come on the net its for researching purposes and trying to sort out the sites i'm staff on. And in between that chatting to people. Oh yeah and I work most of the weekend I want my life back...well a life didn't have one before either!

Well my PC has a virus and it takes several turning on and offs to get it going. So by the time I finally get online I am too exhausted to chat!

I'm quite busy with school. And also I always feel scared to go in the chat room cos I'm younger and don't always understand what people are talking about. And I know a lot of people know eachother and stuff and I don't want to impose.

Yeah, a lot of us know each other quite well now, but it wasn't always like that, we were all newbies once
It's just like at parties, you need to mingle a little, so next time don't be afraid, and you're by no means the youngest at all

We noticed too.

We've been thinking of ways to liven the place up a bit - see the themed chats thread. Of course its not everyone's cup of tea. What would you like to see? What do you think would get the room jumping?

Any ideas greatfully received.

Did wonder myself what happened to everyone - could be put down to that time of year i spose?

Doesn't help for me when i'm on a dodgy shift - monday to weds didnt finish work til 1.15am, and start at 5.30am tomorrow - so wont be around tonight

Freaky thing happened today in Sainsburys - in the xmas section they have a pack of cards called "50 of the best chatup lines" and the first thing I thought of was Spike! (get your xmas pressie ideas right here )

As Stoo said, your not the yongest. A few people on here i know are younger and i think your in the same year as me at school (Year 11, i'm sure i remember you saying something about GCSEs) and really, we're not that bad

As for me, i'm not on much during the week because of school work and it's just becoming impossible. If i am on, usually i'm doing work at the same time I know there's some of my close firneds on the net that i haven't spoken to for a couple of weeks! (this is a long time for me )

Actually, Alice and LIzziebots aside, we are working on something that may help a little to both break those silences and make some new on topic threads.

Seems to me that empty chat can be a vicious circle, its quiet so people quit, so its quieter, and when people come in, they find less and less, so they stop coming in etc.

Lets see how this goes...
