Update on baby Ellie
Not been ablew to get on for a week cuz of gettintg a stupid virus that wiped my whole machine then could not get online, grr. Anyway yes i'm an uncle but when Ellie came out she wasn't breathing and she was laying on the cord which meant she had lac of oxygen going to her brain. Shes been in special care for the past week and is still staying their as they are unsure if she may be brain damaged so are doing lots of tests and they may not be able to tell for years if theres any damage. But a specialist had a look the other day and he thinks she'll be ok and may jsut be a slow learner in life, like dysl;exia and stuff thats the same as me and I wasn't breathing when i came out. Shes not feeding at the moment so they are having to use a drip and when she does feed she will hopefully be allowed out. Anyway shes really sweet i saw her last sunday and i'll get a pic up when shes out and we take one

Thanks for the update Spike.. and *fingers crossed* for the little 'un.
Special Care is a scary place when you first arrive there, but believe me, your niece is in the best place.. the nurses there are angels, i should know. Hannah had the best possible care when she was there, and she was very, very poorly when she first arrived, but she soon thrived. It'll be worrying and nerve-racking experience for your sister and her partner, but they will get through it, and i'm sure Ellie will be okay (just think of Hannah)

I'm an auntie twice over (through Ray) ..they're 16 and 14 years old, both boys and both tower over me now, and they're smashing lads The youngest was born exactly a week after i met Ray.

Ellie was let out on friday and is feeding ok but theres no way to tell if she is brain damaged or not until alter life. She looks well though and i finally got to hold her yesterday, she likes to kick her legs a lot and she gave me a few weird looks, but shes really sweet and i'm hoping she'll be ok anyway
