Myra Hindley - Dead
Started a few of these 'someone's died' threads before. Never been pleased to - until now.
Myra Hindley's outta here.

well i cant really post my thoughts on a family friendly board, sufice i shall be raising a glass in celebration later
Unfortunately she took the secrets of some of her victims' graves with her.
Bad rubish, good ridance at least.
I don't look forward to the inevitable tabloid jackals' feeding frenzy tomorrow though ...

finally.
so sad that some of her victims have never been found.
but please, the reference of Witch is kinda offensive to me, being a witch myself, a witch would never do the things she did. sorry, but i'm sick of the reference. i know its from a film but still.
Now of course "Ding Dong, the Bitch is dead".is far better. its only offensive to dogs and they cant read

#sarcasm# What a horrible shame, I don't know how I will carry on #sarcasm#
I think that more or less sums up my feeling.

May she rot in hell!
I just feel sad for the famalies that aren't ever going to know.
Brady isn't ever going to talk
I'm not going to feel happy about this, whoever she was, she was just a messed up individual. Chucking around opinions of "evil" isn't going to help anyone.
There are plenty of screwed up people in this world. Their deaths help noone.

I must admit to a quick "YES" when I saw the newsflash come up

The pick of today's headlines: The Sun, "The Devil, At last, Myra is where she belongs...HELL"; the Daily Express, "Got to Hell"; the Daily Mail, "Myra Hindley's young victims died screaming ... The Final Injustice: She [underlined] died peacefully".

All delivered with the upmost sincerity I'm sure ... Makes you proud to have such fine people representing the country's views, it really does.
I'm finding it really hard to rejoice over another person's death, no matter how screwed up they were. Maybe I'm just coldhearted...
I was wrong to say what I said yesterday.
The acts she commited were evil, but I shouldn't be trying to discern if she was. It's been said she repenented, and it would go against everything I believe in if I didn't allow even the posibility that she did so earnestly.
Maybe her death was the best solution for all parties, herself and the parents and relatives of her victims, but I shouldn't be so blithely celebrating it.
Just goes to show how easy it is to end up sitting in judgement without even realizing it.
I also think the thread title is in the poorest possible taste by the way.

Oh c'mon! It's a phrase for gawds sake!! I can think of plenty other things that are in worse taste for public discussions.

Personally I'm not gonna grieve over this, far from it.
I really couldn't care either way whether she is dead or not. She committed a crime, she served her sentence. I'm neither happy nor sad that she is dead.
However, i do take issue with this whole 'she was evil' thing. People throw around the word evil alot, but I think it's wrong. Saying somebody is evil implies that there are forces at work beyond the realm of man, and it implies that she was always the way she was.
As everybody is, Myra Hindley was a product of society, and if she was evil, society is evil.
