gift wrapping - straw poll

Just an idea - I know a lot of people out there hate wrapping presents or really wish they could do it 'properly' (i.e. all nice corners and bows). How do you all feel about this and is it something you would be willing to pay someone to do for you - but not at the store?

I am not a very aritistic person but I have a strange passion for gift wrapping and good colour combinations to make pressies nice under the Christmas tree or at birthdays and weddings. Is this something I could do as a little aside, especially as people have started buying their Christmas gifts?

I actually end up wrapping presents for everyone in my house (the men are pants

) and my mum wraps any bought for me. I don't charge for it, but I make sure cookies and tea are always on the go

moxymous I live in my own little world........but its ok, they know me here.

I'm another Fab wrapper.
Which is just as well because at Christmas its part of my job (window dresser). We offer a free gift wrapping service in our stores for passengers/customers.
I can happily sit there for 6 hours wrapping presents. Although, also being a bit of a control freak/perfectionist, I do get a bit precious about the gifts. They look so nice, it's a shame to open them.

I hate wrapping presents - I usually end up with weird bulky packages and completely tied up in Sellotape

I like unwrapping them though!

I RULE at gift wrapping! a few years a go i "developed" a way to wrap without the use of cellotape just some convieniantly placed tucks and it looked perfect, 'cept i stopped working in shops that offered gift wrapping service and completely forgot about it and how. Now I'm back to how I always wrap just having fun covering every available corner in cellotape wrap it up in several layers and watch the reciever spend an hour trying to open it.

I make sure that I buy sqaure presents. I can manage those with reasonable success. Anything else, forget it.

Keenangel *Fourteen phonecalls a night??!!*

I have my moments, but good or not, it's something i usually enjoy. Now Ray is the best wrapper i have ever seen, perfect seams and edges, very professional-looking. The difference could be that he takes his time wrapping presents and i tend not to!

I am so disorganised, buy things at the last minute and tend to end up giving them in carrier bags as that is all I have unless they are chocolates gift wrapped at Thorntons or something.
