why did you choose yours and who/where are they from?
Mine's Bill Baily from Bewilderness.
he's has so many quoteable lines but this was his idea of welsh coming across ham & cheese toaties in amsterdam where as he jokes that the welsh national dish is cheese toaties.
[EDIT] no wait if mine hasnt changed yet it's PINK! and its from her song hazard and coz i love that song.

I've just changed my quote. After hearing Sue Perkins say it on Celebrity Big Brother. It was just so damn funny. Admittedly it's a bit pants out of context but I don't care, I love her.

Mine is still from Skallagrigg. I haven't changed it since the site started & don't really plan to.
BTW Skallagrigg is a book by William Horwood. I won't describe what it's about, cos I won't do it justice.

Dunno about the rest of you, but I see that as a classic line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Mine is 100% original though - not much, I'll concede, but original.

It's actually fascinating how many of the quotes have changed since the poster explained what they were. A little surreal in places too.
Mine used to be: "Five monkeys, two typewriters, ten minutes". As far as I know it's a net phrase (possibly SlashDot), and it describes a movie in terms of the contention that enough monkeys with enough typewriters and enough time would eventually bang out the script for Hamlet.
The current one - "We bonded over a shared love of barbiturates and obsessive-compulsive behaviour" - is a line from the film Chance.

I've got a new one too, now. It's from the comic book "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac" by Jhonen Vasquez. For a while it was "Sporks of Doom", which is one that coolkat and PoF should understand..
