Electric shocks

i keep getting bad elecrtric shocks lately, i touch light switch and work and i see the blue electricity hit my finger, it looks well cool but bloody hurts. anyone else get them often i normally get them in summer on car doors. are some people more prone to them then others for any particular reason?

Seriously, speaking as an qualified electrical engineer, you shoudn't get shocks off lightswitches. If you get a blue spark jumping across to your finger that really hurts there's a probably a wiring fault, and if at work you should report it.

Static electricity shocks such as you get from car doors are completely different. You should be able to tell the difference.

really? but it tends to be loads of light switches and the buttons in the lift. its only the metal light switches though with like a plastic button and metal round the outside.

Ok I think tis cuz I have super powers. yesterday at work in this massive office theres like 200 odd light things spread all over the room which lights it up so i had to turn off each one as it was the end of the ngiht and eavery single one got a shock from, it was like blue electricity firing outta my finger, so I have some sorta electro power.

I get them off car doors, mainly in summer for some reason

I hate them, I've been told to put my whole hand on the car door before I get out so the static doesn't go straight for my finger, that helps.

Ever seen that daft Ernest movie (can't remember the name) where he gets electocuted and starts firing lightning from his fingers and levitating stuff? Sounds kinda similar to SPIKE's predicament.
