Bah, just as I was starting to get into it. Ah well, I guess I'll have to find something more productive to do today and tomorrow

The site is up again. It's faster, but the server is still going down a lot, particularly at the beginning of a new turn.

There's a whole load of new features which make the game more complex and more strategic.

I've tried twice today and it won't even load up at all. Nuts.

Though definately faster when it is available, they're still having a lot of problems with the load -- maybe one out of three times I load a page I get a "we're experiencing very high load..." message, and this is doing my best to avoid peak times (which I suspect are US evenings). I expect they're been heavily loaded as it was the weekend, so hopefully it'll ease up during the week.

It's certainly a little more complex, though there aren't great descriptions of how all the new complexities (spies, mercenaries, specialists etc) function; though I'm not convinced much more of strategic value has been added.

And unfortunately there are still plenty of players who attack for no other reason than to beat you down, ie why attack somebody with virtually no gold other than simply to bully them out of the game?

Still, it's a fun waste of time
