Valentines Day!! :-&
Ok, a little early I know, but I thought I'd start to spread the love in advance!!
So I just wondered what everyone was doing for valentines this year?? Are you sending a card to a certain someone special?? Spending the day with a loved one?? Or just ignoring all the happy couples??
Anyone got any views on Valentines?? My boyfriend is reluctant to celebrate a day of a saint that was suposed to be a murderer apparantly?? So we've decided that it's just for us and not about a tradition enforced by companies to sell stuff!!
Anyway, I'm having the age old problem of what to get a guy for valentines!! I've never had to think about it before!! It's easy to buy for women, flowers, chocolates, teddy bear etc..........Any ideas?? the best one I've got so far is a compolation tape of songs that are kinda special, you know the sort!!

I'm not a mushy love person, so I don't buy into Valentine's Day at all. Maybe one day when I meet "him," but until then its just another excuse to go out and pull random men

I'll be sending just as many as i receive - a bit zero. 
It's just a fabricated Hallmark holiday so they can charge £25 for a red rose anyway.
And if you're with the one you love, shouldn't every ay be valentines??

I'll be flying off to LA on Valentines Day 
Can't say I "celebrate" Valentines Day that much though - have been known to send the odd card when single, and I've received them. But I can't say I go all out.
Now I'm married - I look at it as a day to be thankful for having a wonderful family (slushy much?)

Well on valentines I fly out to the UK again to see my girlfriend for a whole 16 days and a few hours
Still have to think of something though...... can't do chocolates etc so I'll really have to become creative this year
But she's worth it

I hate, loathe, despise, and detest Valentines Day 
Its an excuse to make all the single people feel manky (well single girls anyway coz men are useless at sending cards) and the smug marrieds even more smug.
/me wonders if she can hibernate til Feb 15th
BTW, before anyone starts, Yes, it is coz I never get any cards

We still give each other a card after 15 years almost of togetherness. We buy each other a gift.. (this year i got him a paper shredder, i know, hardly romantic, but it's what he wanted).. he's getting me the "Kate and Leopold" DVD because i love Hugh Jackman .
Don't know if we'll be doing anything "special" on the day though

Well on val day i'll be at college, mmm the romance. In the evening i'll either veg or go to my local gay club.
On the saturday i think im going to a big anti-val-day goth gig, the other halfs band is playing.

last valentines day I got given (first time i ever had a boyfriend during this date so got my first official and first ever Valentine's "card" and then a mate sent one dunno what he made of that at the time 
) my first ever Gap jeans I was well chuffed with them I think it was because I kept nicking his when he was asleep 
and I got a drawing instead of a card which he spent ages doing as on valentines day I was also flying out to America with a couple of mates. (for the same event as Jola this year actually - have fun hunny)
I still have it even now.
*proceeds into the manky corner, it's better here I reckon*

Pluss I have to share Valentines with my birthday celebrations cause it's my birthday on the 9th Feb, He's taking me out for a meal that is covering both days!! hehe!! But I love him all the same!!

I never received a Valentine's card EVER til i met Ray and it was a Garfield one.. i still have it. I have every card he and subsequently the kids, ever gave or made for me, i am completely soppy like that. I usually get two Valentine's cards.. one from my son too
