No, but one time our kitchen lights got all rain water in somehow, it all leaked into the bulbs and they were dripping, that was scary, luckily nothing happened and we got the leak fixed where the water was getting in.
Is anyone here an electrician? (Seriously)
Just wondered because my lights flicker each time it rains and now in the middle of this huge thunder storm they are flickering like crazy!
It started a couple of months ago and it onyl really happens in the rain. I asked the electric man when he came to change the meter cos Im petrified something terrible will happen but he said it was fine and not to worry...but I still am
If anyone is or knows an electrician and can help I'd be very grateful.

My other halfs a qualified electrictian, if no one here knows i'll ask him when i speak to him for you sweetie
My Dad is but hes not in the moment so will ask him tommorow.
If you are not having any other problems with other electrical items I wouldnt worry. Do you know whether it happens at your neighbours or just you as it could be abnormalities in the supply.

LOL, you can never find an electrician, then 12 turn up at once
See its stopped today - I assume because of the lack of rain... still its pretty freaky. Funny how the Electric man said there was nothing wrong - but thats just not normal?!
I spoke to Ray this morning.
He says it isn't unusual for lights to flicker during a storm, as sometimes lightning strikes the power lines etc. Ours have a habit of flickering during heavy storms.
He also said maybe to ask your neighbours whether they have a problem with the lights when it rains. If they do then it sounds like you may need to get in touch with your electricity supplier (and not be fobbed off at all by anyone). If it's just you, then it could be your circuit. But he also says that if water is getting in, then the power should automatically trip out (something to do with a circuit breaker). Either way, he recommends that you talk to your supplier and get them to take a look at it. He (Ray) says that flickering lights whilst it rains doesn't sound healthy.
Hope that helps in some way, shape or form anyway
