Not wishing to state the obvious, hun, but have you spoken to your parents about this? If you're worried about, you should tell them and maybe take a trip down to your nearest A & E department.

Even if it isn't appendicitis, it sounds like something that should be checked out. I haven't had appendicitis, but, from what I've been told and read, I htink you'd be in quite a substantial bit of pain and not in any fit state to post about it. But better to be safe than sorry.

I had it about 10 years ago.
Very painful & messy if it bursts.

I thought I'd pulled a muscle on my right side, so went to doctor & they sent me straight to the hospital.

i had what was suspected appendicitus last march (wow, can't believe it was a year ago!) and was rushed into hospital. They ummmed and ahhhed and decided to nothing at all except send me home and dose me on painkillers. Still never found out what it was God knows what it was but i was in pain that i'd never experienced before.

But hun you should really get it checked out. It could be nothing but it could be something

Yep I had it and had my appendix removed...

Very painful, starts off all over and then concentrates on your right side of your abdomen as I remember, but it was 14 years ago.

I've had it and it's probably the most painful thing ever!!

It was about 5 years ago..I was living in Edinburgh with my cousin and a friend. Was having a couple of bottles of lager when my stomach started to ache a little and I started to get a headache. Thought I'd maybe just drunk too much(although I'd only had 2 bottles) so I went to bed. That has to be the worst night ever....was sick so many times that eventually I threw up the lining of my stomach(for anyone thats interested it's yellow and slimy :ill. Was getting hot and cold flushes, my head was killing me and I could hardly stand up.

My mate knocked on my door in the morning to walk to uni but he ended up having to help me get to the doctors...I could hardly walk so he had to half carry me there. Once we got there the doc had a look at me and sent me staright to hospital...by the time I got there I was starting to get a bit delerious because of lack of fluids so I can't remember much about the next 4 hours apart from a rather uncomfortable examination by a doctor with two really fit trainee doctors watching. Eventually got moved into a ward and hooked up to a drip and they had my appendix out by the end of the day..they were going to take it out endescoply but they were worried that it was about to burst so they just sliced me open and whipped it out. Got a cool scar now

I hope you're okay Barbara...get yourself to the doctors/hospital and get it checked as soon as possible.

ok I feel really stupid now. I waited for 2 hours at the doctors when I had been booked in at 10.35 and eventually when I was last in the waiting room they realised that the doctor hadn't seen me.

It turns out I have cystitis. I went in, told him what was wrong and he gave me a prescription. It took 3 minutes!

Don't feel stupid. That is a really uncomfortable thing to have. I've only had it once and it was agony, but I know some people who get it quite regularly. Hope you feel better soon *hugs*

Hey hon, don't feel stupid, as Teresa said, cystitis isn't fun at all, i used to be plagued with it when i was a teen and it was miserable. Cranberry juice is supposed to be good for cystitis, but also, drink lots of water and it helps to flush the nastiness away (worked for me and i still drink plenty of water now) Hope you're feeling better really soon *gentle hugs*
