Woop! Camping tomorrow... been packing things today. I bet I forget something. I'm on the nervous/excited side, and I bet the weather is gonna suck!

Camping (& car accidents!)
Well me and the bf have decided to go camping for a weekend. I have never been camping before (unless you count getting your mum to pitch the tent in your back garden 
). This is the girl who loves luxury but I just randomly thought I wanna try camping, never done it before and I think it will be quite fun, I hope.
Can anyone recommend any tips, neccesities to take and things for us to do. I know we will get bored and I'll probably get annoyed with him and end up putting frogs in his sleeping bag

And by the way how does one pitch a tent?!

GRRRRRRR!!! BIG MOODY FEMALE!!!
I should be camping. But no, some *beeeeeeeep* in a nova decided to turn as we were driving we were doing 40 in a 50mph due to weather. This guy is an idiot. He gets out says "oh sorry bout that". Won't give us his name, addy, insurance details anything! So we call the police, this guy is a lunatic, he shouts at me blah blah blah. The other guy in the accident *lunatic hit him too* was annoyed and felt sorry for us as Matt's car is written off. But that means a brand new car on this idiots insurance. He was a stupid boy racer and we can sue for these things:
1. Driving without working windscreen wipers!
2. Ruining our holiday, we spent a huge amount of money on our trip now its ruined and we're back at home with no transport.
3. If Matt can't get to work he can sue for loss of earnings.
This guy won't speak to the police because he says he doesn't get on with them! I was a witness. But I ache, I'm depressed, I have no holiday now!

No holiday but heating, running water, matresses and quilts and internet access
Who likes roughing it anyway, luxury, thats the way to go!

That stinks
I got hit over 2 months ago by a 7.5 tonne truck. I'm still fighting with the insurers over it. It wasn't my fault. Thieving gits.

Wow. Really sorry to hear about that. Hope you take this missing link for every penny he'll ever earn. Hopefully, he won't be able to afford to drive a car again.

For all those non-campers on the thread - what a load of wusses 
Sorry to hear yours got cancelled Lizzie - but make sure you try to do it again sometime, its great fun.
I've just come back from camping in Pembrokeshire with Misskitty and Tycho, it was fantastic. One tip I would say is that just because you're camping, doesnt mean you have to eat only junk/instant foods. Bring a stove with two rings and you can cook most stuff.
I cooked more than I do at home, we had Spaghetti Bolognese one night, Chicken Tikka Masala another, and a black bean sauce Stir Fry the next. We had a cooked breakfast most mornings also.
My other tip would be - bring two double duvets, and lay one on the floor of the tent. Gives you a nice sleeping surface, and keeps you snug in even the worst weather.
