Yep, that sounds much more plausible. My mother suprised me a couple of years back when she asked if we should get some webcams for talking to my parents in Malaysia!

The vast majority of webcams sit idle on the shelf, or in the draw, next to the computer; having been a cute toy for the first week, then abandoned once their owners realised that video chat with aunt Maude in Guatemala wasn't as viable over 28.8 as they first thought.
Oddest spam ever?
Received this ultra-weird piece of spam allegedly from a time traveller. It is actually quite amusing but a bit odd as it isn't obvious what the sender might be trying to sell. Unless of course, it's from a spammer who's just practicising before he really gets going... I am also rather puzzled by the fanni@looi.com address as I know damn well I have never used that address!

Hmm... found a site with some theories about the message: http://www.lindqvist.com/index.php?newID=1135
One of them is that the weird codes at the end of the message are tracking codes so spammers can do a web search and verify email addresses when people like me repost the message. So, just in case, I've edited the root message to remove those codes.
Of course, this still leaves the mystery of fanni in Australia...
