Harry Potter: Pronounciation Help
I was arguing with Yvonne last night about this and I've just been doing the same in the pub with people.
How do you pronounce Sirius Black?
They say (including Y) it's Ciri (like *our* Ciriano) Us - 'Ciri-us'
I say it's 'Sir-eye-us'.
Who is right?

Well, I'm not a HP fan and I haven't seen the films but 'Sirius' is the name of a star and it is pronounced as seer-ee-us and certainly not sir-eye-us.
Don't know if that helped much.

She was also supposed to find out what the phrase "You could freeze ice off his wife's ass" from Pretty Woman meant... she'll probably resort to a thread for that too
{EDIT} Oh, and I say its Si-ree-us
