My hotmail isn't working today either. I'm having trouble with a few sites: Ebay (which is probably a good thing, lol), Yahoo mail or can't post on either of my journals (but other people have been today). It's driving me mad

This is probably zero on the helpful scale, but it's not happening to me, what exactly is hotmail saying?

It's not a case of 'its going to go wrong cos it's free' its the fact that they are advertising a free service, and you as a user become dependent on it as it is my main email address. Despite the fact that they are not offering a service level garrantee, you still expect to be able to view your Inbox!!!

I'm not complaining about it but it's annoying when I'm trying to get in touch with people regarding the arrangements for my grans funeral on Tuesday thank you very much!

P.S. I pay for my journals too.

Lycos has also been rather temperamental recently - I've been unable to access my in box at all this afternoon.

I thought the internet would fail when I finally got access at home!

It's all going annoyingly Pete Tong today ggrrr aarrgghh

And it's still playing up now as it was at 4pm

Now when I try to log into my Lycos email it redirects me to the page saying that I have safely and securely logged out!!!

Then, when I press the help button it says "error on page"!

What's happening?!!

Well, Hotmail and EBay are still playing up for me....wonder how long its going to take this time

Are you with NTL? 'Cos I got mine sorted this afternoon. Go to my journal www.livejournal.com/users/teresa_jh and scroll down to my 10.30ish post I made in the library. There's a link on there to help you reset your Internet settings. So simple even I did it

I'm definitely having journal issues (not being able to add entries - although it was going to be really boring anyway )

Tend to have issues with ebay at work - but I think that has something to do with the firewall not accepting it

same here i'm having big problems with hotmail and my journal and i pay for both accounts.

Teresa - I went to your journal but I can't even access the page from the link and my hotmail is practically out of space and I can't delete anything. I can get into my inbox but I can't do anything else. Can someone please put on here what you have to do??? I have three very important e-mails in my inbox that I really need to read and I can't!

Apparently it's something to do with transparent proxy servers - don't ask me - it's after 3 in the morning

Mine's working now after changing to a Belfast server

Well I never did the fix or anything and today my hotmail is working again. I haven't been online for days so maybe they sorted it out themselves.

I fixed mine by setting a new server, but I'm not sure whether it would have fixed itself or not! I might change the settings back again and check
