I'm awake! Althoguh I should try and sleep now
It's three o'clock in the morning...
...and rather than having danced the whole night through, I've been woken up by the radio playing scary adaptation of American Werewolf in London. Which would be fine, if it weren't a stupid hour of the morning! I now can't get back to sleep, as I have a sudden (irrational?) fear of seeing a face pressed to the window, watching me (I'm in a ground floor flat). It doesn't help that a bike was stolen from outside the block last night. Nor does it help that it's *way* before term-time, and I'm almost all alone in the whole block, and definitely alone in the flat.
So I sit awake, writing rubbish on this posting board, looking over my shoulder to see if a random mad slasher from any number of horror flicks will turn up at the window and pursue me relentlessly till I can't run any more...
I bet I'm the only person here awake; or at least, the only person awake not because of going out and having a night on the tiles...
None of which is leading anywhere, so I shall say - Any tips on getting back to sleep having woken up with bad dreams??
I'm going to hide in my duvet now and hope the night goes away...

Apparently you're supposed to make sure there's no light in your room, but it obviously doesn't work for some people, who can't sleep at all unless a light is on.

Um, think happy thoughts might work, and also if you have any worries think about how they don't matter at all, or you can think about them in the morning.
Yeah I do that too, the cure to that is just to think 'why the hell would anyone even bother trying to kill me?'

I was awake! But only because I'd taken loads of anti-tiredness tablets (which only seemed to come into effect when I WANTED to sleep ), so I got to sleep around 4, only to be woken up by my parents trying to scare a cat away who had come in there window
