August is when rains a lot too, I think he mentioned september/october time up in the thread a bit, which wasn't a bad time to go either from memory
Holiday to Florida??
Yesterday I was speaking to the owner of the place where I'm working just now about his holiday to Florida next week. Turns out he owns a house out there and he offered to rent it to me for a fortnights holiday at £500 a week. It sleeps 8 and has it's own pool and stuff...he gave me a copy of a sheet thing as they rent it out all through the year. I was wondering if this is good value...£62.50 per person for a week in Florida before flights...it's 12 miles from Disney World as well..
Suppose if it's worth it I might get a group of mates along for a laugh so would anyone from here be up for it??

I'd be interested too. Been to Orlando once before, just a few days though, to see Disney and Cape Kennedy. Er... that was it!
We'll ask DM & James when they get back

I would *love* to go, but i'm a poor medical student, therefore when is a big thing for me. Say hello to Mickey for me
Sounds pretty good to me. Certainly put me on the 'interested' list...
Interested, yes. Able to afford it? Who knows. Fingers crossed the PTB see fit to ensure I'm in gainful employment over the next few months...
September may be a possiblility - funds permitting of course! The rest of the year I'll probably have lectures.
Aye, I'd be up for this, though could probably only manage a week off work. Not bothered about sleeping on the floor too.
Count me in - got to add to my Hooters t-shirt collection (theres 9 in Orlando and we did 4 of them lol) And beginning of October would be cool (birthday again!!) - will check my holiday dates at work on wednesday
Sounds cool, and yeah the price does sound like a very good deal from what I've heard of similar set-ups (usually around £700 a week in that region of the world, depending on size and quality of the apartment).
Interested? Damn straight! But. Am already talking about going to Bulgaria and South Africa, plus I was thinking of organizing a ski trip somewhere, and then there's the ubiquitous Amsterdam...
So yeah, interested, but I guess I need to sort out what commitments I'm going to make for next year before I can say for definite.
